adsl router recommendations

Is anyone here playing DAOC via adsl modem and router? And if so, can you recommend me a certain modem/router that doesn´t cause any linkdeads or other problems? I´m NOT interested on a WLan Router, I want to plug a cable into a box... old skool.
So, your experiences with Routers and DAOC?

no modem/router should cause a linkdead on its own. If it does, it's broken.
and for the "No WLAN", there's ADSL-Routers you can use both ways, with cables and without.

Never failed with Linksys.

Failed a lot with Netgear.

make sure your adsl modem router has the ability to run at the speed of your internet, i saw one and it could only handle 1mb, was old but worth checking just incase

Got a Cisco at work, works pretty nice but is very pricy and has more options that you will ever need

Got a US Robotics Connect at home, it's ok with in built firewall etc but its nothing special but its really really old now

Get a Cisco over all if u can, Usr and Linksys (SoHo Cisco company) works wonder as well.

However, CISCO routers are not cheap, and imo a massive overkill for home use.

At home I use a DLink router/modem - also failed with NetGear like eggy.
