ADSL/IE "start up"

Hi

Until recently (and I can't think that I've changed anything), I used to be able to click on my IE icon and my adsl would dial up immediately. Now, IE says that I'm working offline and if I want to connect to the web, I have to click on a shortcut I've made from network connections folder. It's only a little hassle but any ideas please on how to restore my original settings?

(I'm running XP Home and have BT 1mb adsl).

Check work offline isn't ticked in the IE file menu

Cheers - it seems it had something to do with the synchronise function on the tools menu. Thanks.
