ADSL, HomeChoice, providers and bloody bollocks!

Well.
I've had HomeChoice for about 4 months now and have been reasonably happy with their performance. 20 quid a month for the net, i'm downloading at 95kbs right now and there's been no down time.

However the ports for all sorts of directplay games and icq and irc are BLOCKED! Despite mailing them and promises that this will be 'looked at soon' nothing's changing.

I'm tempted to ditch their ADSL connection and move to someone else..

Is that possible?
Who would be good to move too?

I mean i have the plug in the wall and the plug in my PC and I believe I even own the ADSL modem since it's a part of the HomeChoice TV package (which I think I will keep)

I feel a bit annoyed since i've been forced to run 24-7 Freecall (fine service, if a little slow) as a backup ISP at another 20 quid a month.

I was going to move to NetGamesUk http://www.nguk.net as a dialup isp and ditch ADSL alltogther but they have a three hour disconnect that is unlikely to to change come rollout

So, any of you wise people have some sagely advice?

Interesting problem.

I have a business Adsl with Easynet. Loads a month but it's well featured. Moving Adsl providers would be a nightmare atm, BT who would do the move are in a shambles and a move would flux them completely. I'd wait a while if I were you.
