i think that the "admin_vote_kick" should eitehr be fixed or disabled, waset of time and a pain.
i think that the "admin_vote_map <mapname." should come back, sitting through half an hour of tundra is enough to piss anyone off
i think that "admin_vote_camper" should be enabled for ALL servers and not just the fun ones as b4.

please bring admin stuff back, at least give us the "<say> rockthevote" as that is good enough.

new cheats stuff is good, finally caught all those little shits i noticed, until ocg becomes even more sneaky.

once upon a time there was a command known as votemap and people who actually wanted to change the map used it, then along came admin_vote_crap and peons started changing the map every 10 minutes. long live votemap, good ridance admin_vote_crap imo

naa i agree admin_vote_map was the best, why the feck disable it?

get nat to look at the servers, see how full they were with admin mod enabled and look at them now, empty servers with maps like torn, backalley, i know u can still votemap, but when it comes up on your screen it was so much beter, all u had to do was 1 or 2, why not just enable it but make the wait time like 10 mins, then you would only be able to vote a new map say twice a round,

enable admin vote map again please.

I dunno which system was best, the admin command was so much easier to use and get votes for, whilst the votemap system ensured that unless absolutely everyone wanted that map to be on it would not come on in the end.

Servers are a bit dead now to be fair.

However, didn't it annoy anyone else when they wanted to play a good game of CS to find every full server on de_dust? I don't mind the map, it's fun, but to play it ALL the time is just so dang boring!!!

A good way to ensure this I guess would be to introduce something that prevented the map being voted in twice or more in a row. Is that possible?

on a more personal note, I haven't played CS in three nights and I am starting to hit the cold turkey stage. I shake at the mere mention of an Aug, and tremble at the mention of a Sig. When people ask me about an AK or Carbine I just cream myself...

Does anyone else (who is on 56k) get VERY pissed off when you have to UPDATE the CounterStrike Server list? I have actualy stopped doing it now, because it takes so fucking long to actually complete, the last time i updated was like a Month back, which took me about 30mins to Update... feck knows how long it will take now

Admin mod was only put on the servers to target cheating, the features were not why it was put on. Kick voting has always been disabled on BW and map voting can still be done via the console.

Update the server list then select the servers you want for your favs, lot easier.


then you only need to update your favs, not every server


like i said earlier, admin mod was more popular with the vote system enabled, look at the servers now,
why not change the % need for map change,
and dolly if every server had dust on it must be because dust is still a very popular map

to be honest people do not want to play torn, backalley etc.

console voting is crap tbh, lot better just having to press 1 or 2, you have the choice to vote for which one you want dont you,

Perfect example tonight, map was on militia, then it switches to oilrig, what happens, 1 person console votes the rest just leave

in the end a 16/16 server that was full suddenly becomes totally empty, admin vote map would have changed this,

oh well i told u so

happened earlier to when map changed to storm, ppl dont use the console vote, they just leave.

Oilrig is a great map, i guess all those CS lamers can't handle the need for team play and tactics(something which CS players claim is what CS has over Quake. The rest of us refer to it as camping).

Don't bother switching the admin mod voting stuff back on. CS has map-voting by default anyway, but the non-admin-mod version is happily just about obscure enough to keep the llamas from voting every server to dust or assault every 2 minutes.

And yeah, there are worse maps in the game than oilrig. True, I wouldn't want to play it in a clan game, but with a fairly bright team, it's fun as CT on a public.

Oilrig...nothing gives you a rush when you play CS like that final sprint to the helicopter, especially once those AK bullets start flying, or the BOOM of the AWP rings out.

All up for map_voting. Like Jobs said, that prevents people from leaving. Just don't like it always being dust...

As for player_voting, that sucked. There's always some n00b out there who just *has* to call you a cheat and vote for you.

I wouldn't call Jobs a n00b, but what can I say. I ownz j00 man!

having read this entire post at once i'd have to say i agree with jobbie on this.

there really is nothing more disapointing than seeing an empty 16 player server just sitting there with a map such as torn on it (personally i like the map but it lags like shit! )

as for ending up with practically all the servers running dust, it does get to me 2 but not enuff to stop me playing and if its being voted for all the time then ,like jobbie said, it must be what most players want(take the popularity of the dual duster for example)

pls enable the admin mod voting as without it u simply wont make the best use of all the servers

remember the world is lazy and votemap <enter map of bullshit here> is just 2 much effort for a lot of people

i agree, bring back map voting. i'd rather play dust all day then oilrig or backalley for 30 minutes. and as for the console vote: i very rarely see a map changed because of it. usually when i try to get a vote going half the server asks "how do i votemap?". i explain to them to do it in the console. then the typical response is "whats the console?". the admin_vote_map was much better, don't have to go in search of a new server every other map then.
