Adblocking fail

My adblocker add-on for firefox is not co-operating and is refusing to block anything since last week i have tried reinstalling it but to no avail, anyone had this problem before ?

nope, dont use it any more (firefox)
but doesnt it have a list of "things you have OKd" , if you can find that and remove it , might help ?

Have you tried re-importing the default rules?

I will try that i just uninstalled and reinstalled it and after the reinstall the settings seemed the same as before, made me realise how much spam there actually is on most sites

Go into the options and see that you are subscribed to filter(s). Mine developed a habit of forgetting it's subscriptions, I think I had to delete a file somewhere in the profile folder and resubscribe.
