I looked up acuity, and what i got was that its like intelligence(piety to spiritmasters and runemasters). But it also said that it was a class check and not a stat check. What does that mean?

They also mentioned something about the ability to do buffs. Now what i want to know exactly is,will acuity add to the damage my spells do along with the damage i already do from intelligence,or will it enhance my buffs?

Please be as discriptive as you can....Thank you.

p.s:- The information I got was from a website quoting grab bag ,so please dont use grab bag in explaining it

Depending on the class, items with +acuity enhance the casting stat of that class

For Druid it's empathy
Bard/minstrel/skald charisma
Sorcerer/cabalist/theurgist/eldritch/mentalist/animist/necromancer/enchanter it's intelligence
For Friar/Cleric/Shaman/Healer/Runemaster/Spiritmaster/bonedancer it is piety

The Cleric, shaman and druid have acuity buffs but they only help for cloth casters, enhancing their damage and maybe power supply(?)

I hope this helped
