Account scammed

so dont do any raids or invite to ur guild

Despite loosing the account, if you were the original owner and the account was registered to your OWN email address, but someone changed it to point to another and you didn't get a confirmation/validation email then the system is broke, so I'd still report it anyway.

no i wasnt the original owner i traded my scout for it a year or so ago, so i cant ask for it back in anyway, best i can do is report him for scamming an hope the account gets banned but is it worth it?

Well the only guy who could have got all the details changed was the original owner who has the cd key and the original credit card etc.
So tbh, get your old account back in the same manner that he just did to you.

Although its very different to what happened to me, it does suck when these things happen but its all comes down to the risk off maybe you gave your pass words out or you had them in your email?<Which i advice no1 to do if you wont your acount safe dont have passwords on your computer. Not saying that you gave them out but having passwords on your computer is something that can end in your game acount being hacked/robed.

Acount tradeing is just silly no this is not a personal atack on your but i guarantee the original owner has done this to you, my advice to you is to get your own acount registered with a safe email service (gmail?) and write the passwords down on 3 seperate peices of paper so you wont loose them or no1 will get a hold of them

They really ought to have an "official" place where people can trade in-game accounts/money/items for money or whatever. Maybe some sort of in-game forum or a selling and buying page as a sub-page on the DAOC Europe Website.

I imagine there are a lot of toons out there who are in DAOC heaven that could be being played by someone who just hasn't got the time to go through all the hassle of making a character from scratch. (An ML9 SM would be heaven, or crafters etc.).

There should be an official adoption that takes place when swapping a toon from one player to another, so that this sort of bullsh*t doesn't happen :/

Wrong. I've lost my subs several times, all I do is sending an email to goa saying I lost my sub details, provide the name of my account, the cd-keys(I only had si + toa cd-key for one account but I still it changed) and the email I want the account to have. Then they reset the sub pw and send it to that email. That's the reason I would never trade/buy an account, it's just to easy to get it back if you got the cd-keys.

Sorry to hear you got scammed, and good luck if you continue with daoc.

hehe, Was just trying to get the point over if you change details then these are sent out to the registered email, if that is not working it would be nice to let GoA know.

But in this case, chances are the registered email was the original account holder.

get the acc you traded for it banned Gohan. Eye of an eye so to say, nobody else but a previous owner can have access to acc and change PWs etc so just drop him a msg and say:

Since the acc you gave me is scammed, I will get my original acc banned. End of story.

Just RN it and explain sitaution and give CDkeys etc to your original acc to prove you are original owner and say you want it banned because of what happened. I did that and worked out fine when some turd scammed me years ago.

Morale of the story is ofc, trading under GOAs policy is a bad thing and often end up with some sort of craptastic result, cant trust people you dont know well, its madness.
