access import of *.wk3 files... long shot...

Guys,

Access 2003 has suddenley decided to start crashing when I try to 'get external data' from a Lotus 123 wk3 file. It was working fine before so I suspect its a bug following an auto update. OS is XP pro and it also happens on various databases with various input files and on other machines.

Any of you come across this already or know a cure? I did find some stuff about security in excel and other apps but I tried some of the reg fixes suggested by MS to no avail.

Which version of Mdac you got?
Also did you checked that, by chance, it ain't the Lotus file to be recovered?

It's Access 2003, SP3, if that's what you mean? I've now found that some files DO import while others don't... working on it

Mdac = Microsoft Data Access Components Download details: MDAC 2.8, if you do import some files and other not then it's definitely something wrong with the files tho ^^
