About the "realm event" on saturday

1. ppl delayed ML raids to sunday cause of the announced event.

2. Raid leader says afk 5min and show up an hour later, without telling anything, not even promoting the coleader to leader in bg.

3. no come the really GAY part. 120 hibs spend 2.5 hours bashing keep doors, while 2fg hibs are roaming and havening fun.

4. those 120 hibs keep waiting for ages in nottmore, while those 2 fg are wtf leeching from the mid zerg.

I feel used! This wasn't a "realm event". You USED 120 hibs are bait so that 2fg can farm shitloads of RPs. WE were taking the keeps for YOU. WE spent 3.5 hours doing the uber boring work, and when the mid zerg is out, tata the "raid leader" is back to gank with his 2fg.
Dont expect me to support any more of the bullshit "realm events", find another idiot to summon the mids for you.

absolutely agree with that - and 90% of those hibs that were bashing keep doors and waiting in nottmoor for ages afterwards while looking at the death spam from those other 2 groups do as well i bet.

i don't know if it was planned like this (but tbh i slowly believe it was) but one way or the other it's absolutely ridiculous to call something like this a "realm event". it was a "use the realm event" and i'll never ever support something like this again.

ok, short version, saadyst _was_not_ in any of the grps that "farmed". He had a major irl thing to sort, we had absoloutly no idea ourselves till he got back what had happened to him. Saadyst was the GL of my grp, we took fens, glen etc and then moved to nottmoor, so please get ur facts straight on that part. As for the people who were off farming, can't say i wasn't pissed off myself, and have already voiced my opinion to those involved.

Im not pissed because we dident get to do anything, but because ppl keeps flaming one certain person for "useing 120 hibs as bait for his own advantage".
If i know Saadyst right, that wasen't the plan, but things come up, some more important that others, and it happens for all of us. Atleast he trys to do something for the realm, instead of just sitting back wating for someone to do something like the rest of us ( including my self, i know ). If you are so unsatisfied, Why dont you just go organise your own raids and do like you want em to be ? Why do you join these raids if you are so unsatisfied with everything going on ? .. could keep asking.

why i joined a raid like this?
because i expected a realm event as it was told in the beginning. and that would mean action for everyone. i don't care about the RPs - i care about the thing that 2 FGs had alot of fun while the rest was completely bored with keep raiding and waiting. besides that i'm not unsatisfied with such raids in general but with this one in special.

why i don't organize it myself?
cause noone would listen to me (and i don't have a problem with that - don't get that wrong plz)

well... yes, he did - and i don't know and don't care anymore if what happened was intended or not because it doesn't really make a difference. as already mentioned a realm event should be fun for everyone and as soon as it's clear that it isn't fun at all for the majority something should get changed immediately in case it really should have been for everyone.

it kinda all went tits up when saadyst had to go sort out his irl stuff
noler did a great job having it all dumped in his lap at the start
but honestly, it was a waste of time for most of us - 4 odd hours killing npcs and bashing down doors isnt what i really want to spend my time on in a game

and while i can see what value the two roaming groups added from a tactical perspective, it's somewhat frustrating to spend so much time doing mundane boring shit only to see a few other people having all the fun

then again.. most of the shit in daoc isnt really what i want to spend my time doing.. begs the question wtf i'm doing still playing doesnt it

I was with the zerg cause leader wanted my group in it. I got a lvl10 croc ring, and Noler asked me to come along for ae end/spd ect. I though we would do something interesting after keeptakes are done. Instead we were asked/ordered to stay inside Nott and get ready for Inc.
That didn't happen for about 1 hour, all time when we were sitting there we got uber death spam from the roaming groups. Its fine with me that they had fun, but for ppl inside the keep it was ruining the moral. Taking keep for 3.5 hour and then watching someone else doing the fun stuff is bloody annoying.

I have fuck all clue about anything that happened that day, but I think if he has a reason for emergency afk it's damn well more important than anything that could ever happen in daoc. Having someone that organises events it's something you should be very happy for, the moment you start demanding things off him is the moment you should take a step back and take a look at what you're doing.

One failure shouldn't colour his entire carreer, all the events organised by saadyst i attended (and trust me, quite alot) have gone well, he actually makes things happen and there are VERY few people who can do that properly.

Lay off with the whine, I understand sometimes things can be twisted and unfair, whatever you want to call it.. but don't blame people for making one minor mistake (with a solid reason for that matter, his rl is more important than your pixels) and give the guy a fucking break.

Didn't come there to take keeps but to kill enemies where the action is kk? You raid mid so all mids go there ---> no mids in emain -----> need to go mid to kill mids. If you don't like what happens on raid, you leave raid. Not like it was some serious RR attempt to get some relics we shouldn't want anyway. Clear words. Logic. No harm intended.
