About the "Elite" Guilds

Seems there is a big issue regarding the "elite" guilds atm.
Some peeps say blame Cenci for this flamewar that occuring on BW forums.

Maybe Cenci post was the ignition but i think its been here for a longer time.

So i have a couple of questions.

1. Who is this "Elite" guilds ?
Seems peeps refering to LA, Vengeance and BD ?

Black Dragon (BD) = Elite ? in what way ?
They may have many lvl 50 but ?? what else ?
Its not like "ooh there 1 fg BD going to kick ass..."

The other large diff from VGN,LA and BD is that BD was made from a guild called AOP?? isnt this right ? So i dont think no-one really angry on BD. But i dont know.

LA and VGN on the other hand was made at lvl 50.
And they (well i know VGN do) trying to lure peeps into there guild from other guilds. TRying to convince them that they should leave there origin guild and join the "uber" guild.

AND i think its here the bad feeling is from other guilds.

They feel that the helped a member to 50 and all of a sudden the guild is bad...And they leave to join a guild wich havent helped any of there members to lvl.

And often the exscuse is sooo bad that peeps get angry just cause of it.

All this is understandable.

But the big question here is this. If the 1 leaving your guild is such a stupid kid. Why arnt you glad he joined another guild ?
WEll maybe he is a lvl 50 that you need but i rather dont want to b in same group as such a looser.....


I teamed with LA and VGN on several occasions and i can tell you that most are very nice peeps. BUT they have there share of bad apples.... Like any other guild exept mine.

OOHH well this post been a rant and some trolling.
And the babies have made my post totally without a red line...

elite guilds, are elite, because they group with each other very, very often, and tend to leave mixed groups for guild groups.

i'd like to see any guild say they would not do the same if they had the chance to form an all guild group.

about 'helping people to level'.. hum.. thats a problem with that member surely.. if he decides to leave a guild to join a more rvr orientated guild, thats his choice, why do you all think that he has been forced in some way?

people have tried to 'poach' me before, and it is my personal choice whether i choose to join or not, all they simply do is attempt to show me what it might be like. surely if i enjoy it more with another guild, i should attempt to be there?

again, it is a concern with the individual, not the guild.

your perception that a guild is to blame for that is wholly incorrect.

BD was formed out of aop it's true, the original plan was for people to move to BD when they hit 50.
Then BD started taking non-aop members, changed the 50 only rule to take in bards 45+, which they turned around on.
The crunch for a few of us came when we had asked for help on one or two guild xp hunts/epics and got a flat refusal to do anything to help us from fearmast, although we managed to get some members help us.
BD couldn't even be arsed to help one of our lvl 50's who joined them before getting his epic, we got a call for help but we were in odins at the time ;)
I sure as hell don't blame all the original BD members, some of them are great people who helped others out of their personal values.

My personal ethics are basically to help others where I can and as nicely as possible. AOP doesn't exclude people from guild grps, we will run without a bard and basically enjoy playing together as much as awith other people, no are they local mentality here ;)

Unlike LA, who on more than one ocassion has zoomed past a fg of recovering hibs at the AMG and yelled "campers", sure you have a nice time playing together but there are only a handful of people there I actually like as personalities and the respect you show at times is sorely lacking, these are just my experiences and I'm sure others have seen worse and better.

I still think family style guilds are better, you get it all then, think the idea of big guilds as being too much is not so for me, if I feel spammed I turn it off, I know who I like and if it's important someone can PM me anyway.
Don't think anyone needs an rvr guild, I've jumped in with 7 other people and done extremly well, some of whom I don't know.
I also like knowing new people, I also don't throw hissy fits if something goes wrong, shit happens and it's just a game.

Soz if my post made you think that i blame any guilds. I certainly dont.

How can it ? its the individual that leaves the origin guild that i tried to blame. IF he just uses that guild to become 50 then leave...

BTW Eleasias hmm what guild is your hero in ? OR he ofc in LA from lvl 0 ? OR staying guildless to 50 then join LA ??

If you join a guild for RvR only then you dont deserve any help,

also to BD last night in alb, its not nice to run off screaming when an equal number of mids appear, good job Veng where there to res you guys huh :rolleyes:

IS your lvling HERO in LA from lvl 0 or you in a guild until lvl 50 OR you guildless !!!

hmmm or you in a guild and will stick with that guild until death ?

Was not referring specifically to you, was directing at people who think as such.

Imho it's not the guilds that are bad...it's some people in those guilds. I mean i know lots of nice people in all RvR guilds but i also see some people developing a somewhat arrogant behaviour as soon as they join a RvR only guild and that imho is bad.

I can totally understand why people rather join there own RvR only guild-groups but don't run off like the wind as soon as a spot in your RvR only guild opens up, don't take an invite at DL... join the group, find out it has no bard, druid or lacking something and then make up some lame excuse and leave when all u really want is a spot in your own RvR only guild group. Or even worse: dump ppl out of a group because a guildie wants to join in. Not really fair if u don't tell people b4 they join now is it?

For me that is the main problem... this kinda behaviour causes people in mixed groups to feel bad/noobish/not good enough. Imho that is what causes this bad image for those guilds.

Just because u joined a RvR only guild does not mean u are uber and can treat others like dirt ... i really hope some of the nice people in those guilds (and there are really a bunch of fine people in all those guilds) can help some of their guildies realize this.

Im leveling from 0 to 50 unguilded and then I join LA ^^

BD is not one of the elitist guilds, at least not in my opinion =)

Not knowing many from vengance, i usually thing LA the second someone speak of elitists.

I got impressed when i saw a LA powerlevel a friend of mine at water beetles a while, do not remember the name, sadly...

cept from that, i have quite a few unnamed people from LA that have elitisted a little down my throat......

Well well =) Guess most guilds have bad tastings apples =)
Few of them go kick other groups out of fins groups case they DEMAND the best that is in the whole realm regardless of others.

Never heard that LA or VNG did msg people from other guilds 6 times day to join them - I cleared that already with BD to leave my fellow guildies alone.

Salvaging Tactics as recruitment is not appreciated. :rolleyes:

Im in 1 of the best RvR guild already so dont want to change.

I am doing the same with my alts if i ever reach 50...then i will join vengeance to.

Pretty obvious if u ask me, why join a guild when non-50 and leave it when i are 50 to join your guild you are allready in.
