About the 60% casting speed cap

Is it worth to get mastery of the arts x when you have capped dex in SC and capped dexcap (101dex) and 10%casting speed as a cloth caster like SM enchanter or wizzy?

I have read some posts on vgnboards about 60% casting speed. they say that ppl with 340dex buffed +10%castingspeed allready have the 60% casting speed cap.

so some classes/races don't even need to cap dexcap or casting speed cap?

I have lost the vgnboards post about it (it was a mythic developer that posted it). will try to find it back when i am home.

some feed back would be nice. and also more links to study this question.

Still think theres no cap on casting (hence the 25% cast speed and +50 dex cap nerf)

There's a cap on castspeed = 0.4*Delve.
You'll get there with ~350dex (and 10% toa and mota3).

But consider:
you lose mota in ~3 months and would need ~380-400 dex to cap anyway;
you won't always have cap buffs (partial buffs after rezz, whatever), and will be hit with debuffs (dex, dex/qui, zou).

Therefore I won't be trying to hit any cap for dex - I want headroom.


(if you want some better numbers, feel free to fund some RA respec stones)

i have 327 dex with 18dexcap bonus with my lvl47sm frostalf.
buffed from a 37aug shaman with 21%buffbonus and no mota.

15dex 10piety at creation. so you should get higher than that 307 dex anubis. check your dexcap etc

got 308dex whit 17dex cap on my cleric. put 2points or something in dex from start. most real casters should have like 350 whit good buffs anyway :>

I got 360 on my elf with only 10 dex cap.
The fact Luri's have higher base dex, and if he has 25 dex cap from ToA that takes him over 375.

So bullshit back at ya
