YAY the skald and healer wins..... but if ya read the posts there is stadet that "twisting" DRAIN alot of pow and end....

this is not good.... imo the good skald insta mezzes the bard before he gets a chance to insta mezz the mid grp ;) then the healer mezzes the rest of the hib grp and the skald has blenty end and pow to keep the hib casters (there has to be a few of them who resist the mezz from the healer) interupted w insta dd mezz and speed decrease (snarr, snaer snar snear?? spelling of word???)

imo that would give a better result over all :D

That would be the problem yes.

Well skald mez is 700 range and the bard is 1500. But anyway, what i wrote above was just an example.

and do note that resistances do not alter the rate of actually resisting an effect (which is based on spell level vs target lvl) but lower timers/damage

Ok that is noted. Do you want me to type another example then? Or can you think one up for yourself? :)

Ffs, I'm not going to get into this discussion once again. I've been playing a skald for long enough now to realize that skalds cannot twist their chants effectively. No matter what the herald or god-know-who contain explanations which might make it look to work in theory, fact is that it can't be done real-time.

Oh, almost forgot something that proves my point for sure. When I'm grouped with Tormax (who is played by me too for those who aren't aware of this :), no matter how many times I switch between chants, there's never more than 1 icon visible on Tormax' screen, iow the effect of the first chant is lost as soon as the effect of the 2nd one kicks in...the double icons when changing chants are only visible on the skald's screen briefly.

If Skalds would be able to twist they would be out of power in a second. I've not played a pally, but they twist without power/endurance cost, no? It's just a matter of being skilled enough to push the buttons.

If skalds could twist like a pally, then hey, we're talking!

Skald Chants don't use ANY power, you can change them all day

Still boring as hell to do, nothing worth twisting imo :D

(tho as a thane I am happy to go without Damage add from Skalds heehee :D)

skald resists overwrite aughealer/shammy 10 min resists. Heal song is worthless, damage add does not stack well at all with shammy/dark runey damage add and is on a short range. Speed, insta dd/dd/mezz/snare are skalds most powerful tools other than the obvious 2h weapon :)

Even with 3 skalds in group i prefere 2 doing speed 1 doing damage :)

Happens enough you drop out of speed, and i dont like to see some outrun us.

The only think that beat skald speed is hoo soo nice skald + endu 5 regen i love it :)
