not much point going to galla anymore if it takes 5 years to read how many points i get/need/whatever
i like this idea aswell:
point for this is
the 10points for one raid (est 5hours), get's you a good bonus already, it takes quite some effort to go to 10 raids and more to get the 100+ to have a really decent bonus (which means quite some time just raiding galla for nothing in the first place).
regarding the points cap: if someone goes on 20 raids, has 200points capped to 100, got a bad day and loses the lotto with a 5+100 against someone with 96+10 it's ... ehum ... oh well, i didn't want to be the guy who spent the 100points on a useless roll (and still he'd won, so ....).
If someone gets 100+ or even 200+ points on xfear's raids, he deserves having one of the most decent items in my eyes. not to get me wrong here (as i attended only to 2 of this raids so far). If someone who attended to 20 raids, wanna go for a decent item and i want it too with being there the first time, i just think he deserves it more than me.
why not have the maybe 2 "no cap, 200+ guys" lotto for the same item if they really want it and have the hobbyraiders roll for some more non decent item. it is not eliteist in my eyes. but i'm sure there are guys that think it is. anyway, i heard from a recent raid where the chanter robe dropped (should be muchos wanted, regarding the masses of chanters out there, chest piece w. epic look etc ...) and one chanter didn't even need to roll for it, as he was the only chanter left on the lotto (yeah i know, better classes then chanters for those raids etc, just an example ... they still can focus VSC easily and be of use)
i was on the first final encounter and liked the thing that the guys with the decent points announced the items will go for, it gives the ppl with not that much points the option to go for an "less desirable" item with a higher chance, regarding VF's question about drop chances and Boni's reply.
the idea with the leftover list or whatever is decent, it would be a nice thing to buy some not that wanted stuff, which still could do good in templates.
Just for instance i want the ment sleeves for my ment or something, got some points and buy them if they dropped on a raid i couldn't attend. if i spend points on an item i buy from leftovers, just substract it from the actual player points, but don't nullify all of them. It does not only give hobby raiders the opportunity to obtain special drops from xfear raids but also the high performance raiders the opportunity to have items from leftovers and still save points for the decent drops (and maybe again more motivation, dunno). sure this thing is up to xfear like the whole point system, as it is again more work for him by arranging and managing a leftover list.
one thing i'm still not sure about, if someone rolls for a drop during a galla raid, all his points get reset to zero right? if so, (i think it is), let it like this
to sum it up:
VF's idea is grand, don't swarm the lists with FE points, let the hardcore raiders (100+pts) announce the items they go for, if it's FE (to add something), let each GG have one leftover as bonus or so, to maybe make a guildy lucky with a present
and yeah, you still can get decent drops in galla, you just need luck, either in a lotto or just with the only one who can use it
[edit:] typos etc :>
