Why does hardware always fail when you decide to back it up?
Just lost 700+ Gig of stuff. Pics, music, video, all sorts of shit that I wanted.
Bought a broadcom external HDD less than 12 months ago and it started making funny sounds last week. Turned it off and today decided to back it up to one of the PC's. Got through most of my pics before it started sounding like someone impersonating a coffee percolator
Third time this has happened to me on various hard drives. Previous two times I just decided I needed backups for no reason and suffered *EPIC* fail mid way. The god of hardware hates me
BTW - anyone moans at me for sticking this in general rather than tech - I'm mourning the loss of my stuff rather than the hard drive and it may serve as a timely reminder for someone to, say, backup their wedding photo's QUICK...
