I was thinking along the same lines Spiders and heights seem to be the most dominant of phobia's.

I was also suprised at how many people did not want to put thier name/surname online, I must admit the thought crossed my mind of being cautious but tbh my last name is known to alot of people both on and offline, and I've never had any cause for concern about people knowing my name.

Yeah not sure why people are so cagey about surnames...

Maybe its just like teachers don't want you to know their first names

What's the worst people are going to do (realistically) if they find out your name on an internet forum? How realistic is identity theft just from knowing someone's full name and forum details? (assuming most people have non-static IPs, firewalls etc)...
