I am not sure how many know this but i am sure quite a lot already do but some do not it seems from seeing what's going on tonight.

Currently you can log in with the 1.65 patch from usa where there is no second keep door on a keep if you run this patch, i advise if you see members of your realm hitting thin air after a first door of a keep, log out at once and sort your si login back to the current 1.62 patch.

I seen a few respected players do it tonight without knowing it seems, guys please becareful, you can get banned for this permanently and just hope no one does get banned for not knowing at all that they have it, when it really is one of goa's fuck ups.

So if you get something like that, log out and fix it, perhaps ask another player if you are not sure how to.

of course there are always some people who know its a bug and yet choose to abuse it, had it happen earlier to me. If the person reads this im sure he knows who he is.

Happened to me last night all i had to do was re-install SI then DL a little patch 7.91mb i think it was, problem solved!

Would like to hear what Kemor thinks... tbh im not quite happy about being banned over something GOA/Mythic did wrong. Not that ive noticed anything... i wasnt around for the doorbashing in yesterdays alb raid.

I did see quite a lot of Albs running through into the courtyards of the various keeps we took over the course of the evening.

I know that it happened to some Mids and there was some confusion from various peeps.

Not everyone that runs in is bug abusing, but only if you repeatedly do this. I asked people if they were unsure of the status on Door 2 to hang back until the general charge in. People will still continue to lag though, so sometimes its hard to tell if its just someone lagging through door 2 or someone who simply doesn't see Door 2.

The fault for this problem lies squarely with Mythic, for allowing things like this to creep in.

However, GOA compound the issue by generally being so far behind on patching.

We were keepraiding quite lot last night with fellow Mids and I saw many people run through the second door, I'm sure they didn't even know what they were doing most of the time.
I haven't had the bug myself but apparently it looks like the whole door isn't there so it must be pretty confusing.

Ended up having to /broad loads whenever first door went down, but it worked and atleast none of Mids on yesterday's raids hit enemies inside keeps, and went out once they understood that it was a bug.
I was playing my SB so I was able to see what was happening :)

I think this is very serious bug, loads of people will "abuse" it without knowing or understanding what they're doing.
If some people start abusing it knowing what they're doing, then we're screwed and it might get many of the innocent ones banned or warned by GOA.

In my opinion, the argument that none should get banned because it's GOA's screwup will work.. After all, any abusable bug in game is basically Mythic's screwup.

I hope GOA or someone comes up with a way of fixing it without reinstalling, it's alot bother. But if that is the only option to fix it, better do it than be uncertain whether you might be running through door or not.

I think so, but my guess is that when 2nd door goes down, the new tower door is down for those people that have the bug.
I think so because people have been stuck at the lord tower after the keep take but apparently have been able to get in.

Check in the help forum, under topic of US Patch thingy, all you do is copy and paste some stuff into the update.dat file, re-download the europe patch and its fixed, also change update.dat to read only so it wont happen again...

I've reinstalled and still got the same problem so i reported myself for bug abuse to Rightnow...

Screw em, if they wanna ban me for their own mistake, and after i put my hands up and admit i've wandered in and done nothing useful or offensive once in, cept turn around and get back out, let em - will be yet more money they lose.

Whats worse is that once we have retaken a keep, the only way back out into the courtyard is to jump from the top of the tower onto the battlements = 75% health loss... :m00:

Out of interest,.. everyone always says youll get banned for this and that.. but does anyone know of anyone that GOA have banned? Ive never seen anyone banned and Ive been playing since the first MMPORG (Meridian 59).. loads of bad language has been used, people have been robbed and many bugs exploited.. The only intervention ive seen is someone having his name changed from Geforce to Greenforce..

Apart from Kr0n and his oft publicised antics, i can't recall anymore bans... oh, wasn't there a massive whine on here from someone who was banned for using radar, saying he didn't do it :rolleyes: even though he had been set-up three times by GMs to test it, and each time fell for it, or something?

mmmm, Slo got her name changed, cos it meant "slag" in sanscrit or something really vague like that.

I saw a troll in the BGs ages ago called Hochiminh (that's Ho Chi Minh, for the less educated - Founder of the Vietnam Independance League (Viet Nimh), Slayed the French at Dien Bien Phu, and became the first president of North Vietnam - sent over 3,000,000 North and South Vietnamese to their deaths against the US), double teaming with Pinochet (Overthrew the Marxist government of President Allende in Chile, circa '73. Assumed power, arrested 120,000+ of the Liberal opposition over the next 3 or 4 years, and torture became something of an art form for him)

If those two names didn't cause GoA to take action, lets face it, not much will...

disclaimer the details above were dredged from my addled mind, regarding an essay i had to do for school, like 12 years ago or something, so if i've made any mistakes in these guys CV's, let me know, but don't go flaming me - it'll upset my already chewed up memory ;)

go to your shrouded isles directory and the zones directory beneath that and delete the bad zone with the no keep doors.. for caer renaris i think i deleted zones 10 - 20 then waited a few minutes to redownload via patcher if theres a zone list somewhere u can pick the one exactly and save yourself time

Evening folks,

We are aware of the problem as you can see if you report this to the CSR team or if you report someone having the described problem. The best fix for this is to reinstall and we invite everyone who patched to US version to reinstall directly from the CDs. When you reinstall, be sure not to reinstall in the same directory or it will not fix the problem (if you delete the directory, you might want to keep a copy of your user.dat and .ini files).
Since the patchers are now "fixed", you should no longer patch to US. Reinstalling is simple and will prevent the problem from happening (and other players from reporting you).

I won't get into details as of what actions we take for this or that problem and I don't think that announcing the numbers of banned people is important but we do ban/suspend players deserving it, regularily.
As for names, well it's pretty simple, we cannot monitor the names of thousands of players and no filter in the world can filter everything. If you see a bad name, report it. It takes 2 minutes to fill in a report, 2 minutes for us to change it if the name is indeed against the CoC...
