Idea behind this template is that it has crafted + to fire and earth to max dmg on bolts, i still havnt been confirmed as to weather + to earth effects the earth line bolt in a 50 fire spec wizard so flame on...

it has 101 int 25 dex cap 9 spel range 9 spell dmg and 10 cast speed but most importantly i aimed for the 2x +11 to magic or fire and earth
i also tink maybe resists could be juggled a tad but dunno..

you hopefuly can see what i tried to do any ideas or alterations be handy and if the answer is no + to earth magic doesnt effect bolts from earth line then i may as wel lstart over:p

Drop the croc ring for a Demon Blood Ring and resists should improve. I see what you're going for but only 5% passive pierce means you have to rely on Cloudsong charge. No Arcane Siphon or Jacinas charge also means you might have to waste realm skill points on MCL, which is a shame.

Anyway, good luck with your tri-boltspec. However, first do some testing to see if dmg changes with the +11 earth. If not, I'd advise you to go for something else template-wise to get that passive resist pierce to 10%.

Not worth dropping 6% - 7% of the important resists (body, cold, melee and jacinas for a third bolt tbh.

If you really want this to work, try using more items with +all magic skills, such as Atlantis Tablet.

Changed my Sorc template a bit to work in +11 to earth, only low resists are matter/spirit/energy. Wouldn't worry too much about 99dex/int, works good on my Sorc. "Archery Damage" is piercing. The head and legs have 70+ utilty, always build SCs with dual skills with 2 x +4 if possible. You can also use the Band of Shadow to have a similar result.

You want 10% passive pierce when you're a PURE damage dealer. 5% + auras don't cut it, the aura user can die, it can drop in mid combat without someone noticing it, it can be down etc. Work in jacinas or get Traldors, imo.

The earthen bolt is a spec line spell, so there won't be any damage variance. If I remember correctly, all +skill does is increase the damage of your spec line spells by about 4 damage per point *) and lower the damage variance of your base line spells.

*) tested vs level 50 targets with capped resists. Note that it brings it closer to your damage cap. The damage cap itself is unaffected.

I forgot to add that I tested this a long time ago with the level 47 spec fire nuke and 50+4 to 50+15 fire magic skill (I was RR5 back then). There are probably diminishing returns in play here, so when Prydwen is back online, I'll test it again with the level 17 spec earth bolt.

so alaron m8 are you saying basicly "m8 redo template so you only got +11 fire dont wory about the rest as it wont make any difrence?

if so great because i got a descent templat ethat had only +11 fire in :D also post yours hehe so i cn admire some leet skills:p

TBH naliahs robe sooks more than a5 yr old kid trying his 1st mc donalds milkshake :drink: TBH whats the stats on wizard epic gear in the new patch? and does it mean those who sold there epics utility to there lower lvl guildies will be able to redo quest or are they totaly whorelocked.... :twak:
