A small question for Nol

Did you play on this server (Excal) at the time when Albs raided early the first time?

I played on this server from the day this game hit the shelves, I was here when the first raids happened, when midgard called Albion lame for odd time raiding. I was here through out Hibernia's dry years, when we used to get teased for not having relics. Then, with the smallest population and the lowest levels, we made a successful Primetime(i.e. period when the majority of people are playing)raid, it was an accomplishment. The question I am asking myself is do I remain, I have a US account, I quite enjoy Co-op and Shrouded Isles is also great.

I wanna know if Nol did, since he is SO afraid the whole server will be fudged when they got raided early, it would be nice to see if he thought the whole server would be fudged when we got raided early.

as far as i remember the actual level of whining never got this far.. because for the most part, everyone said it was pretty shit

but now, we have people saying it's fine.. hell, even a significant number of hibs, and a few old-timers too are saying it's fine...

hehehehe np mate, Co-op draws the same mindset, people who like to work in co-operation towards the same goal. Although I enjoy the RvR aspect of Daoc, I prefer to do so when the opposition have a chance to beat me too. If I am going to end up playing against npc's, I may as well do it properly

Have hibernia ever tried to take a relic at 0500 like mid and alb??? (serious question, I really dont know answer)

Just seems whenever we talk about taking relics, the first thing we all agree on in hibernia is that we will do it during primetime hours and not at some ridiculous time.... Just for the simple fact that the aim of the exercise is to have some fun, with a challenge...

Dunno, theres just no real challenge with getting up at 0500 and taking an undefended relic keep.... I dont think anyone on Hibernia is trying to suggest its illegal, just a tad gay.....

However you can only take so many blows to knackers when your playing Queensbury rules, b4 it gets to the point when you fire off a low blow yourself....

And lets just say we been hit in the knackers a few times lately......

I don't know what your mission is with all these questions, but if you expecting me to change my statements with regards to these raids you are wrong. As I stated right from the first albion morning raid, I think it's lame, if Hibernia did it I would think it's lame. It has nothing to do with losing the relics, it has to do with how they were lost. If you take the time to search the boards, you will notice I am always close to first, if not the first person to congratulate people on successful raids, including times when our relics have been taken.

The only thing I apologise for is my comment to Abpoon with regards to ruining the game, it was a stupid comment(sorry Abpoon). As far the rest of it goes, I stand by my comments. If you can't accept that, then tough. I will be coming for relics in future, but it will never be at 6am, if I fail, then so be it, at least I know I had the courage to try.

But, we do have the courage to try at primetime, we tried several times against albs on primetime, before we raided you, didnt we? (Maybe you dont know, but we did).

Of course I would be much more satisfied with taking relics primetime (anyone would, no matter what your oppinion is, anyone would) but we had to do it like this, and you flaming us as lame and all the things you called us for it, thats what I am against, we didnt try at primetime, failed, and took em when we could. Nothing to be brag about, but flaming us like mad here dont help anything does it?

Please point me to the post where i whined about your taking our relics? I must have been really drunk or something when i did bcos afaik this is the first time i've posted on the subject of that relic raid. And i wasn't posting condeming the raid, or whining about it. I was posting because i took offence to you and your attempted personal attack on Nol for stating his stance on early relic raids. One word sprang to mind when i read your posts here, and that was "twat".

I know you had the courage to try other prime time raids, that's what made the pill so bitter, it was completely unexpected from Midgard. I always viewed middies as courageous and skilled foes, they gave as hard as they got, fights were always tough but fair, this IMO was a complete 180. A realm that publicly slated early morning raids, goes ahead and does it, then labels me a whiner when I object.

It's too late to change what's happened, but I hope the turmoil will make some of the people consider the consequences of their actions and what would happen if the action is repeated(not a threat, merely an observation).

As I said, too late now and probably time to move on.

I was talking bout what I was feeling at the time, and I guess most Hibs by the reaction, not what I am feeling now. Also remember the actions were defended by 95% of the middies who came here and posted. If someone from midgard disagreed with raid, they never said it here.

I cant disagree with the way someone wants to play the game.

We all pay x amount of cash to play this game every month and aslong as your not cheating or breaking the CoC then i wont tell you how to play, if you want to have fun by raiding keeps/relics at early times when theres nothing else to do then who am i to call it "lame" ?

Personally i wouldnt plan one at that time but if anyone wants to plan one that early then i wont flame them or hold it against them.

Mawawawa - All those people with kids will be up at this time on Christmas Day - and the kids get the best prezzies so getting a nice relic would be like getting a new toy [or a replacement for an old toy that got nicked by some bearded git at 5 am ]
