A small problem....

A few days ago somebody (i.e. me) threw up on the carpet in my room. After seeking advice on IRC i scrubbed the area with a spongey thing and fairy washing up liquid and cleaned up the mess. However, after 4 days, the smell still remains.

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of the smell? I've tried spraying all sorts of stuff onto it but to no avail. Please help

the only thing i know of that covers any other smell for certain is cannabis.

Its most likely the acid thats smelling. Basically, you'll need something stronger than acid - a new carpet.

Or phone a hotel and ask them.

All you have done is clean the surface of the carpet so you still have vomit deeply engrained there.

You'll need a good carpet shampoo type cleaner...maybe even have to hire a machine to do the cleaning to get rid of the smell completely.

Cheap and much more effective...cover the area in baking soda, leave for several days, then vacum.

Yep, baking soda will fix it. Also try some pepsid AC or any stomach calming stuff.
