A small issue at lair.

This morning I woke up, thought to myself that I would go for 47 at lair. Then I msg'ed a few peeps around asking for the LK. I got the name I wanted, asked him to put me on the list, so he did.. #13.. 13..

that will take a looong time for me to get a spot to lvl.. I thought I'd rather go over to lair, to try to form a new grp, right? like everyone else would've done in my position. hehe.. easier said than done.

Went out there, asked politely to get the list, he says: I will trade you 2 fighters for 1 g1 healer. I asked again if I could have the list. Well, the short story I went to spindel to solo my way to 47.

Some peeps in the nice realm of midgard, truly don't want the rest of us to lvl.. that I'm sure of.

(PS: there were no healers on list, nor no pbt'ers, so my effort in forming a new grp, would prolly be a waste of time, but at least I've tried)

My question in this matter is: In the old days at lair, I've taken my share of LK'ing. And never once did I not give away the list to any new guys trying to form a new grp. why do this happen now?

Ive seen this a lot recebtly myself, at one time ther were 27 ppl on list, including a 48 shammy, 45 runie and 42 healer. This info I only got after the previous LK heard I was looking and gave me the list he had, as the current LK would not share the info, trying to keep the list for himself.

Needless to say i formed 2 new grps and off we went, 1 hour later 2 level 49s had to exp no more. :)

This attitude is damn selfish, not just to ppl like me and angrykid, but to the ppl on the list who are waiting to exp. Why should you ppl suffer due to some a-hole wanting to keep you as back up for his own uses.

I suggest ppl keep an eye on whos asks for LK at lair, because some LKers are only out for themselves.

Learn that, from my position having no healers/PBTers to back us up, whilst in the next DT we DID LOOSE 2 TANKS AS I PREDICTED I'm only taking care of the group.

I'm not in no-way trying to prevent you from making one on your own, but no with my material.

The main pain here is, if I had chosen to give you OR Cameth the list, that our group would've been dead by now.

I am glad for one that I have not done this if it only was to keep these people happy.

We woke up at 7 some at 6am, and made ourselves a group, fixed a list.

Now, from my position, if you can actually place yourself in it, I reserve all rights to ye or ne exchange the list with other people.

Our first reaction, though, was that we thought Cameth had send you, thus the short reaction.

Even whilst this not be the case it is only for OUR GROUPS SAKE.

And no, I don't care for people who wake up later than us and expect a spot in a group THE NEXT FUCKING MINUTE.

It's a shitty job being LK, getting flamed from all sides for taking a tank instead of a rogue, not taking lvl 46.9 into G1 because they are not level 47, and no they are not but you do get a shitload of whines over you.

Now, I hope tomorrow you will take the duty, and do the same as me, try to take care of the groups and keep the exp coming as long as possible.

Yes theres is a piece of greed included here because lair is fucking mindkilling, meaning I want to get out A S A P.

Also from previous experiences sharing the list which I have done, someone decided it to be funny not to give me a healer in return when we needed one. Happened twice by the way, while he had about 3-4 healers on the list.

Today we didn't have ANY healer on the list except for some level 42-44 for group2.

Now you can do 2 things, that's either take my story for granted, or still verbally abuse me in your mind for not sharing.

It's you or me, your group, or my group.

Choice is easy, really.

Previous experiences have made me not share a list.

If you wish to exp, get up early.

You can't because you work? Do it in the weekend.

Iam really against any form of lists, ppl want exp and not sit and wait, and there is always a chance a group takes another peep first because it is a rl friend or so. Also it is a long walk to H or Lair, soloing abit at entrance of Malmo is an option but when its your turn, will ppl wait for you till u back at exp spot?

Options are: Start new groups or make more groups to fight the same mobs, offcourse exp will be less but killing is going faster and many more ppl have fun.

Keep in mind that I do NOT bypass the list, everyone gets his spot as is mentioned unless the group desires differ from it, that is Urgent need for I.E tanks/healers/pbt RM.

I do not let friends join on number one, or give them a fair number on top, I play by the rules, which they would do aswell (so I hope) if they were to be found in the same position as me.

I think anyone preventing even 1 person from xp-ing is a total asshole. I've been on that hill for about 20 hours total and yeah i've also been there at 6 in the morning.

You said it yourself SevenSins. Malmo is mindkilling and people want to get out asap. That doesn't happen if you dont share the list to let them form 2nd group.

So what makes you (or the other lk's that don't share) so much better then everyone else that you feel you have that right?

For the record. I've only see malmo groups dying late at night. A replacement has always be found during the day in the groups i was in.

You said two tanks left you.. I am then #11-12 on list. This makes you still 4 tanks too many on list. and YES, I do get up early usually to xp, but hey.. I overslept today, and for you flaming me as a person who wants grp "the next minute"... I have never ever wanted a grp the next minute, just trying to get a new grp started, since I had to wait for at least 10 hrs.

And I sure would have given you any healer if you wanted it.. I for one have taken my share of LK, do believe me. As long as you can keep a polite tone to the ones asking for a spot, they are polite back. I have never been flamed during my time as a LK.. and nor have I ever not given away the list.. lair is such a place where a list has to be kept. and this is a sad thing, cause peeps do want xp, but no one wanna take the responsibility to have the list. it's a shitty job for some, but I kinda like it.. makes me in control of the grp, more or less.. and I have the chance to put together a good grp, with decent peeps.. not all that experienced, but we all learn.

Sad thing you choose to not let fellow players get some xp on the very same spot as you are.

Flame me some more people, throw it all out, but I chose what is best for OUR group, maintaining the well being of it.

I hate the lair, I fucking hate it, it's brainkilling and gets out the worst of people.

I guess this is my "not-so-happy-sided" self.

Finding a quick way out, maintain the list by the overall standard rules with some additions yes I don't deny that.

But I also don't bypass those rules.

Be it in my groups favour, I know some people are going to thank me for it.

And I don't care what you think, and I don't care if you flame me, but don't blame me for defending my own sorry ass.

Lair is more corrupt than the deepest mafia infested sicilian places.... everyone hates it, we all get flamed there at times...

get over it, kiss and make up... forgive and forget and so on ;)

lair sux big time, get some mates and make group yaself guys, take it easy and have fun together xpin and get lvls :)

if even if its a few friends or guildies gettin average xp it makes it alot more enjoyable
