A reactive proc | The exact effect

I have been looking over suitable reactive procs for a healer and found two intresting procs. One of them are this one, but I couldnt find any description of the exact effect:

Reactive

Ablative

Arcanium Armor Tincture 47

Self Melee Health Buffer

Duration: 10:0 min

Value: 100


Is it a temporary health increase of 100 Hits or a temporary con bonus? And when it kicks in, will it be a increase with your current hp or will it appear as a life loss (similair to when buffing) ?

If you know what the exact effect of this proc is, please make a follow up.

you get a temporary shield that absorbs 100 points of damage, its not added/taken from hp.

If you get hit for 50 dmg, the buffer absorbs 50% of its damage, so 25. It keeps absorbing 50% damage untill the 100 value is gone..

So you take 50% less hits for 100 hp's. :p

I thought this reactive proc was the one that absorbed damage (what you described above) :doh:

So this "selfdamage sheild" gives damage to attackers? And doesnt absorb anything?

Correct... damage shield deals damage to your attacker.
