Why do the moderators of Barrysworld/Freddyshouse have a policy of locking/deleting any posts with matter of a sexual nature yet we have access to sex, and even rape, smileys?



I understand the smileys are in good humour, but so are most the posts.

I wasn't aware that there was a policy of deleting anything with matter of a sexual nature - I distinctly remember the "Music to love girls by" thread.

If, however, you are referring to matter of a pornographic nature, I worry about you if you cannot spot the huge gap between cartoon anal sex and explicit sexual photographs.

I don't know the specific thread you are referring to, but what I can say with some certainty is that a large majority of the threads or posts which have been removed in the DAOC areas have not been removed for their content so much as their lack of it. You have been asked by the mods there to refrain from posting stuff which would be better placed in IRC or other chat channels. Threads with a 1 minute turn around time and witty 1 liners, clearly aimed at improving the post counts you seem to damned obsessed with there will be edited or removed.

I am 99% sure this was the reason for the removal rather than the 'sexual nature' of the thread.

It was my suppostition based on a very good knowledge of the current situation surrounding the DAOC areas and OT in particular. You, Loxley, are probably one of the worst post count whores amongst them and frankly are pissing me off now.

Because you dislike me (as yourself have already stated, thanks for that) and are more concerned with attacking me than you are actually being a mod.

And I don't post farm. If I post it's because I have something to say. If what I have to say goes against idiots or the mods then I don't mind doing so.

Yes it does... the level of spamming from you and your post count buddies in the DAOC areas is what leads me to believe the thread was removed for it's spammy nature rather than any sexual content. You are trying to be provocative and clever and only one of them suits you.

Situation; sexual content is removed from DAoC Freddyshouse always. Freddyshouse has smileys of a sexual nature. I don't understand how these two different stances can coexist.

I didn't say the entire DAOC forums are nothing but spam, as I know there is some useful and meaningful discussion going on there in parallel with the 'race to the next forum title and bait the mods along the way' you seem to be enjoying. The rest is pretty accurate, though, and I stand by it. You do spam / post farm, I think it was because of the spam nature that the thread was probably deleted and I didn't see the thread so I was making an educated guess so that your question wouldn't go unanswered.

Adding further clarification:

Moderating on FreddysHouse forums (this is not Barrysworld any more, Loxley, please try to take that on board) is done purely with the Code of Conduct in mind. We do not have a policy of removing items of a sexual nature provided it falls within the bounds of what we consider reasonable.

Each and every mod is different, and sometimes decisions will not be completely consistent from different mods. Get over it. The mods don't have time to consult on each and every decision to be made.
