i'm wondering abit about some of the templates that's been posted here on FH. there are some templates that gimp (for example) the heat resist because ''they will get debuffed anyway''. so my question is can a debuff lower your resist so to a negative value or does it just debuff down to zero and no less?

so i heard, but why do i pretty much always hit for +++ figures?
big hits of 400+ always have ++ figures, darkcarver spec 50% cold debuff, rarley do i hit for --- or neutral numbers

resists can go into negative territory, where it will give a significant dmg boost. Espc for self debuffers where variance will be closer towards cap (thus 100%)

Better run with 0% magic resists because if you position yourself wrong and get nuked it's your own fault.

I see alot of templates where people put 0-15% heat resists only and I can feel the Wizs, Chanters, Mentalists, Vamps, Heretics smile whenever someone posts such a template.

I have no problem running 0% heat, it IS your own fault 9 out of 10 times if you get nuked as a caster, you are simply where you shouldnt be or you lost track of enemy casters. (The 10th time being when you get zerged and it doesnt matter anyways.)

Gues i can vouch for that, my experience in fighting you is ive never been nuked by you while fighting and its impossible for me to get you:( uless ofcourse we get pop on you or pop on us ect ect, heat resists are not really needed on an experienced caster bolts are mainly affected by af, and as said if you get nuked by caster in fight unles your group has lost of you lost the pop then it is indeed your fault

depends really.. how the groups look, if I get to play my favority setup, bm,bm,champ, ench, warden. doing loops around group to get to casters is <3.

Or if mambah plays yr sm or someone else <3, you get these kind of epeen boosts (not that much compared to OF relic dmg (see lowest pic)

Just from memory, but isn't the lower resist you can go -5%?

Nope tested it on my BB with red Cabby debuff and it went to -13% already with BB having around 15ish% Body, with 0% resists and debuff I guess it would go even lower.
Hence why people complain about Wiz damage output as they have less than 15% fire resists and get debuffed by 15% and every percentage below 0% on your target amplifies your damage by alot.

Don't the debuffs get split against items and resists? I think it states it in the delve these days.

So, say, a 30% debuff is -15% item resists, -15% buffed resists. So if you have no buffed resists, you're losing -15% resist, and if you have buffed resists you're losing -30% resist.

Would mean that as long as you have >15% item resists, you'll not go beneath 0% resists with a 30% debuff (unless your armour is vulnerable).
