I didnt leave because we are losing, we have been here before and clawed back time and time again.
I left for 3 reasons:
1) i love fg vs fg where what i do will make a difference to the final outcome, giving me the opertunity to use my class to its fullest.
2) The lag :/ 3 attmepts and ml4 and still fucked over by OT and the server
3) Keep wars are fun for the first hour but get more and more boring, 24/7 keep seiges are not fun, fighting in zergs is not fun

Result of the above i dont enjoy the game, so i /cancel or try something else. Im lucky enough to be on the WoW beta (altho it wasnt actually that good) so i waste my time on there or pry.

I suspect many leave because of the 3 above not because were losing

Amen to all those three, the first one specially. Though I'm not leaving just yet, as I very much enjoy small ghetto groups with friends still :)

I think that all that has happened is everyone has played this game for 3 years or so, and I think everyone, including me, thought that NF would bring more "fun and enjoyment" to the game.
OF was starting to get a bit boring - the rinse and repeat aspect of the game was starting to be a chore.

I think the fun and enjoyment was there for the first 2 weeks of NF, but now it is certainly lacking, and losing the relics in the first couple of weeks didn't really help the mids. I think some people got fed up with the LDs when they were in good positions, and then the RvR action has just dwindled. Albs have the relics - it's nigh on impossible to get them back - Mids are just passing the time at the moment until the European Servers catch up with the US Servers patch wise.

It's almost too little too late, FZ being nerfed to 15 mins, the people have made SO many RPs, the damage is done. Realms Relics being moved to outer keeps is a good move - we may have a chance to get them back (in the middle of the night^^).

I think people are bored with the zerg mentality, bored with staying in a keep if you are melee based and watching all the casters and archers having the fun while you pluck away on a treb.

Solo fights are almost non existant, but there's no change there, and some people miss the quietness of Hadrians Wall and Odin's Gate in the Old Frontiers. Maybe a solo / duo arena should be made somewhere :>

I think after the initial rush of the new game, it is settling down, and the people that are staying are the people that have invested 2+ years of time to a toon that they can't give up. Too much time and pain has gone into making your character that /quitting is not an option.

I think once the patches come in, and the game gets a little more balanced (ie relics back with their original owners), it'll be better, and my sb won't stop hitting like a girl so much and getting steamrollered by alb toons, 2-3 RR's below it ^^

Also borrowing a friend's caster account certainly made life a bit more enjoyable :>

Anyway - rant over

But agreed with this thread in some respects, having played other realms and servers, Excal has a poor attitude to grouping and the likes. Stand shouting LFG at a keep, and a 5 man group will run past you and ignore your /yells, no matter what class you are.

As a warrior, i already gave up yelling for grps. Now i just run around solo buffed beating some infils and stuff, much easier ^^
