I have been accused of cheating a few times recently and so I have put together the following as a way of avoiding this, and the bad feeling the accusations cause.
A Newbies Guide to Not Being Accused of Cheating.
1. Never Aim.
2. If tempted to aim, start shooting first, then move crosshair onto opponent.
3. Always listen to a CD whilst playing, as loud as possible. Heavy metal preferably, though the 1812 Overture is quite good as well.
4. If someone is shooting at you, stand still. Never try to find where the shots are coming from, or retaliate.
5. Never throw a flashbang into an area unless you know that there are only teammates there.
6. Avoid headshots, try to hit peoples feet at all times.
7. Keep a very careful eye on your kill/death ratio. You will probably get away with 1:1 but anything higher is a clear indication of a cheat. 10:1 is proof positive, and should be enough to get anyone banned for life.
8. If your ratio is getting a bit too good, try to find the lamest person on the opposing side and sacrifice yourself, it’s for the greater good.
9. If you see an opponent always run after him, making as much noise as possible. Never try to guess where he is going so you can get there first.
10. Don’t buy armour.
11. Never continue to shoot towards someone after they have run out of sight. Once they are not visible they are protected by the Geneva Convention.
12. Never shoot at an enemy unless he can see you. This is a clear indication of a wallhacker.
13. Let your opponent shoot first to be certain he can see you.
14. Never move silently, you might make someone jump.
Basically what it comes down to is this. Play CS as much as you like, but never try to put any of the skills or experience you gain into practice.
Think like a newbie, play like a newbie.
This way you should be able to avoid all those nasty accusations.
