Can't see it happening. My Sky Digital picture turns to ratshit if someone so much as farts near the dish. Those things are going to blow about all over the place.

I'm optimistic. Like I say, I heard about it a few years back. As long as they have thorough, well thought out procedures in place for maintaining the links.

Even then, there will no doubt be months of teething.

I think its a great idea, not so much for the UK, but for third world developing countries (as in where i work where there is little or no infrastructure). Interferenace is an issue in built up areas (he says after swapping out 400 other wireless units cos of interferance with sat-tv dishes :( ). But who knows, i am all for it.

It certainly is not a new idea, just closer to home - anyone see that article about "stratalites" ?

Anyways, time will tell, but i am definatly behind this idea, <mandatory joke> I hope it's cost does not get affected by inflation...</mandatory joke>
