Having seen and used Wireplays new messageboard I have to say that it rules. Are there any plans for changing this messageboard?

Yeah its a bit slow atm because its just had its major overhaul, Nnew server and messageboard system etc. Its gonna improve as all the tweaking of its done http://forums.gameplay.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi .

stick with CGI, until there is decent proof that php can run such a substantial messageboard, I'd prefer this thing, this is stupidly quick in comparison with either the php & cgi scripts on wp (yes, I post there) and thats possibly more to do with the smaller posting base on here, but still.
and there's not that much tweaking that can go on (over a week, ffs, its a simple script overhaul, and its complete, they're just stupidly slow

oh dear
sadly looks arent the winning factor when it comes to the web, i have a cable modem and WP board took bloody ages!! its like being on a poo dialup again

and yus, I do know peeps on cable modem who've had it take 4minutes+ to open .... shambolic.
