A new bug... literally!

During a fight with Defiance tonight, I hit someone wearing a Golden Scarab Vest, and was turned into a Scarab...

... and never changed back!

I died, was rezzed, released, used other artifact shape changes... but nothing took me out of Scarab form! My stats were unaffected, but my shape remained that of a very small beetle...

A relog would probably of fixed it, but I couldn't be bothered resetting my /stats at the time.

I know other people have experienced permanent morph effects before, but generally it's been from an artifact they have used themselves. Anyone else exprienced this one at all?

Happened to me when the halloween mobs were around, was permanently in skellie form, however i think that happened to everyone that didn't zone or relog. Also i got perma spraggon mode around that time aswell, same thing, didn't go until i zoned or relogged, dieing, releasing and rezzing made shit all difference.

you can cancel scarab form whith shift+right click,anytime.

The nif files for all the different character icons are stored on the client machine. Server tells the client to use a different nif file in certain circumstances i guess, like when the proc triggers. maybe the server messed up sending the message back to your machine. if others also saw you as a bug all that time then something funky must have gone wrong.

Something funky must have gone wrong then :x Cuz he was scarab when we met them.

i didnt notice that he couldnt see the icon, i just told it generally gimp reaver.

Well, this an effect done to enemy not self. Wouldn't have sense for enemy to cancel it, right? :wub:
