Hmm...salty isnt exactly what springs to mind when I think of Lochnagar.
As far as I know they use a mix of Bourbon, and 2 or 3 fill sherry butts
in many ways it reminds me of spey whiskies, exept it has a pinch of drieness to it,
wich I'm guessing comes from the 2nd' or 3'rd fill sherry butt's, and to me a hint of smokiness as well.
It's very nice whisky indeed, and often overlooked,
