A idea for "gank"guilds :)

After watching several GankMovies or whatever you'll call them, my irl m8 and I came up with the suggestion of a full movie, with no cutting scenes..

This means:

About 2 hours would be fine of length.
Ingame sound, so you have an idea of milegates opening etc - Most ppl have music on their own comp, so they can turn that up
No deleted scenes - All fights, winning as well as dieing, releasing, buffing etc, so ppl get to see how skilled you are, insted of just cutting bad fights away

It's allowed to cut off buffing and porting to TKs or releasing to PKs, so we get the view of you running from e.g. DL, or MTK etc

That would show ppl how skilled the GankGuilds are, insted of picking best fights..

I, my self, would like to see a movie from NP, running with their Savage group as they owned me like 200 times now

Any comments on this idea?

And while we are at it, why not make a 2 hour movie with a lvl 1 trying to find a grp and XPing.

1. You will need well over 100gb free to capture that much, that's a lot of space for most likely not much interesting footage.

2. Do you have any idea how long it will take to encode 2 hours of film? Most people got better things to do with their cpu time.

3. If you want any kind of quality on the video, count on about 10mb/minute on the encoded film. That means you'll end up with a 1 GB+ file to host somewhere. Ugh!

try capture with tvout->tvin and virtualdub, 8h = 100gb maybe less

No, 720x576 @ 25fps vdub capturing = ~1 GB/min. 8h ~= 480 GB.
