Which Conroe did you go for in the end? Very tempted by that CPU (as opposed to an Athlon dual-core) for my new system...

Dont bother yet mate, there are too many unknowns atm,Svartmetall said:
ASUS lock some of their boards so you cant take the CPU above a certain clock, and the cpu isnt supported to a full extent yet (you need to flash the BIOS on the majority of baords), i would wait a bit for the major manufacturers to get their new stock out for August
