PC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

For Windows XP

· 2.5 GHz P4 (single core) processor or equivalent
· 1 Gigabyte RAM
· A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
· At least 15 GB of hard drive space

For Windows VISTA

· 2.5 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
· 2 Gigabyte RAM
· A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
· At least 15 GB of hard drive space

Supported Video Cards

ATI Radeon(TM) series

· 9500, 9600, 9800
· X300, X600, X700, X800, X850
· X1300, X1600, X1800, X1900, X1950
· 2400, 2600, 2900,
· 3650, 3850, 3870
· 4850, 4870

NVIDIA GeForce series

· FX 5900, FX 5950
· 6600, 6800,
· 7600, 7800, 7900, 7950
· 8400, 8500, 8600, 8800
· 9400, 9500, 9600, 9800
· GTX 260, GTX 280

Intel(R) Extreme Graphics

· GMA X4500

Laptop versions of these chipsets may work, but may run comparatively slowly. Standalone cards that are installed in vanilla PCI slots (not PCIe or PCIx or AGP), such as some GeForce FX variants, will perform poorly. Integrated chipsets such as the ATI Xpress and the NVIDIA TurboCache variants will have low settings selected, but should run satisfactorily.

Please note that attempting to play the game using video hardware that isn’t listed above may result in reduced performance, graphical issues or cause the game to not run at all.

The NVIDIA GeForce FX series is unsupported under Vista.
Yours isn't listed on there, but I reckon you can still play - albeit under minimum settings.
You won't be partaking in any mass PvP with that GFX card. (it's a Laptop, correct?)

These specs are from a while back though, and there have been numerous performance updates since then.

Well, my 3.5 year old laptop with a RADEON 9600M ran WAR on low settings, with a bit of lag, but I only tried it for about 5 minutes.
Thats about the only experience I have with playing it on a bad PC.

On my Dual-core, 4gig, Radeon 4850 brand new PC I still get pretty appaling frame-rates during keep sieges (which have got a bit better since release).

It's a funny old game for performance vs PC imho.

I think this is strange because I play War on highest setting with my HD3850 card.

And the 9300m gs can run crysis on low with a avg 26 fps...

WAR runs fine on my desktop with a GeForce 7300 LE Graphics card. Certainly for PvE and small scale RvR. I do get the occasional graphics bug with clothes going odd colours but I think alot of people have that problem.

Edit: on low (ish) settings.

Its a laptop so thats why the hard drive is so slow.

But I think it should not slow down the game.

I am thinking of getting one laptop with these speccs, I dont have it so I cant try the game...

So you can play with that card on low with little lagg...

That card gets 699p in 3Dmark06

The 9300 card gets 1826 in 3Dmark06

Cant IU be sure now, that I will play on low settings without lagg in RvR ?
You guys agree with me ?

well, you could ask if u could borrow the laptop home for a few days to testrun it. with proper ID so they can see that you are who you claim to be, any serious dealer would probably agree to it, i never had any troubles with it anyway. could be worse if you buy it online tho.
