are u getting monster loss and choke, cause i kno i *%$"% am, with traceroute and neotrace getting loss all over the board, have started my bitching at them, just wondered if there are many in same boat

Some bt users on irc were getting 100% loss trying to ping bw servers, they wouldnt show in gamespy at all.

Sounds like BT fucked their routing. shock!

Has the odd barrys servers been going up and down? Everytime I refresh my gamespy list, there is generally 1 or 2 servers missing.

The servers have been up, its peoples isps's that seem to be "losing them".

For example we had a clan game the other night, people on several isps's got dconned at various stages, went to ric and said the server was gone -err no we said, the rest of us are still in there.

I do know that the BT have problems with their Email side at the moment.

This may have been the problem

700m of Fibre Optic cable has got damaged by third-party contractors at Maidenhead, Berkshire. BT have issued a Broadband Incident Report over it stating that they are awaiting a new cable on site, also the contractors magically took out a bit of fibre that cant be routed around. The projected time for getting the cable in and working is 10pm currently.

Update:BT appear to have got it working by 10pm according to reports from the Maidenhead area.

80 ping is double the normal adsl ping of 40, with packet loss on top/and or choke.

Thats like going from a modem ping of 200 to 400.

Its the same situation exactly, HPB's cant comment unless they experience lag on a broadband connection.

man i h8 things like that, imagine if half your packets are being lost, dont matter how fast u are recieving or transmitting to/from the server. i dont whine about nowt, i have played HPB by your comment i assume u havent as LPB, grrrrrrr
