am i the only person who is in bewilderment as to how 747 has survived soo many beta's when map's like docks for eg have not, i mean 747 to me = camp fest and even when u get hostages u can't move more than 10 feet without them getting stuck on a chair, PLZ let's not have this map in 1.2, opinions?

I agree there are problems with it - the main one being the see-enemy-names-through-curtains bug, which can totally spoil the map if there are half-decent Ts defending.

I think it makes a nice change of pace though.

I have never seen 747 turn into a camp fest, in my opinion its more like a DM map, just rush into position and fire.

In small numbers (12 man server) it can be fun and tactical as there are a variety off routes, however it aint a 18 or 16 man map. Docks is shite lets here no more about it it did not survive get over it.

747 is a great map, what the hell are you talking about? There's a new version of it with lots of bug fixes and tweaks too, and that'll probably get into 1.2, so phnar :p

Agreed.
Running round 747 with a big nasty shotgun or the M249 can be a great stress reliever.

Either that or a decent wank.

I agree, cs_747 has to be one of the worst CS maps I have ever played..for one you normally end up with a 1 on 1 and it seems that the two people never meet. Also it is very cramped inside the plane so and because the nme can see you through the curtain ( ur name shows up ) they just plough you down when you get in the plane. And the hostages are dotted all over the plane so you have to keep going back and stuff

err i only been playing c.s. 2 weeks now but must admit 747 dont seem very good me... but then maybe it's just cos i'm a n00b lol.
btw do i assume that dust is the c.s equivelent of the edge?? ;p

747 is a great map when played right, but like so many others when on public servers most of them are crap.

ok ok ok docks might not have been the best example i agree but in my opinion (and every1 is entitled to 1 :p) docks urinates upon 747 from a considerable height, i am v hungover so unable to think of a replacement. But stand by my original diagnosis of 747 it's just not any fun whatsoever, with a better hossies code it might b more enjoyable (these ppl supposed to b scentists ???) but until then i try to avoid it.

P.s. plz forgive any TERRIBLE spelling (see comment of hungover condition :p)

What is wrong with the hossies codeing in relation to 747? I find its the easiest level for using hossies on, no doors for them to get stuck on and only one ladder for them to struggle with.

YOu all sound like shit CT's stick to being t's, at least then you have an excuse for shooting the hossies.

OH wait on second thought everyone has a reason to shoot the hossies they are obviously americans.

I have no problems with 747 other than A/ there are no seat for the pilots to sit (do they squat) B/the plane has no fecking engines (What is it a gliding 747?) C/ there are trolleys blocking the exits C/ first class looks exactly the same as the rest of the plane. Must be British Airways then, but I'm sure the terrorists are much nicer to the passengers.
On another note though, Dust. Now I have nothing wrong to say about dust other than whats the big obbsesion with it? There is a server dedicated to dust1 and dust2, I should probably avoid it I know but why is it so popular, it's not the best map.
Anyway I've said enough so here are the men in white coats to take me away ta ta.

Dust is popular because it is extremely fast paced and bottoom line fun.....now everyone always says they are sick of dust and italy but they always go back to play em. Avoid the dust only servers though, utterly pointless.
