Now, how many servers are there, and how many people can get on them?

There better be room.

First off, selling more pre-orders than the servers can handle = trouble.
Selling more pre-oders then EA copies(already) trouble.

considering WoW had a staged start with about 250.000 per continent a couple of weeks apart.

...don't expect to get on a server during this weekend :D

Sold units rarely turn into actual volumes of people on the servers, 400-500,000 or so could run down to less than 10% active subscribers.

Still, expect the servers to have queues :D

I'm not really impressed with the game thus far, not sure if its because my laptop cant really hack it or it I'm just not really enjoying it for what it is. I will wait until I get my gaming rig up before I decide if I will keep my sub running or not, but I am guessing it wont be a lot of peoples bag.....

Then again I tend to be wrong a lot

bfm, atleast get to 25 or so.
The single player part may not be to your taste(even though I enjoyed it) but the game just gets better and better the higher I get.

I agree with Tilda. The game opens up after lvl 20. You're free to go to a lot more places, do more things, and the whole thing feels more like a MMO. Your feats are starting to come together and you've gotten a good feel for your character.

So basically nothing special?

Yeah i know, was being a bit pedantic at your answer because, well, that's what happens in all momorpegers :D

Didn't know what else to say as to "why it gets better". :p But it DOES open up more later, moreso than in other MMOs, I would say, simply because the first 20 levels are almost single player-esque with a heavy personal story.

For people wondering about what the game is like and whether or not it's worth getting, let me just add my quick opinion.

I've only had about 8 hours in total ont he game so far (work sucks :(), but i have enjoyed every minute of it, of the actual game play, grinding (if u wanna call it that) is not grinding its actually like playing a game.

The classes with their feats, combos and spells all have a great feel to them and this is all in the starter area.

I got out of Tortage lastnight, the single player ending there is epic (if ur machine can handle it) and exceeded anything i saw in LOTRO (although i only got to level 30 in that).

AoC = Fun to play. If PvP and End game PvE are as half as well done as the combat system and generic game play is, then we are truly in for a real treat and i don't see me even looking at WAR if it comes out should they get the end game right.

The UI is fully XML customizable, so it is only a matter of time till some smart guys come up with a solution. How the chatsystem got thru QA is indeed a good question nevertheless.

It was probably just lower priority, given the lack of time they had. The beta client just a month ago was abysmal compared to what it is now. :D
