For gods sake it happened again :(

Over the years ive tried alot of different setups of hardware. But every time i get an ATI card it gets 'stuck' at 60hz refresh rate in windows (as in not the same problem with games) :/

Happened with alot of different systems, and happens for no reason, and disappears for no reason.

(yes yes update driver bla bla bla - done.)

Any one else encountered the same? It never happens for nvidia cards

Have you ever installed drivers for your monitor or do you use a generic driver?

Well ive been running my resolution (1280x960@85hz) for years. So its not that its not possible. Think its a driver problem ATI has had for a couple of years now :p

But there must be some kind of way to fix it...

Is this a funny way of telling us that you just bought a flatscreen? =))

theres a billion small progs that will set a fixed hz for any resolutions covered by your screen/card.. personally i use something called RefreshLock, but powerstrip should work as well..

No not a flatscreen hehe :)

And yeah vinter also tried thoose program to lock the refreshrate, but they just seem to have the same effect as when im changing them in the driver settings...

But as i said before, it suddenly appears and disappears without having to do anything :p

Now its all back to normal ^_^

Its one of thoose unsolved problems in programming like the np-complete problem :p
