since the last time I played DAoC

And I'm considering coming back maybe... the main reason would be for RvR.. I can't be arsed to level another character like a Warlock. But is it alot of keep/tower takes nowadays or are people just camping bridges and running around searching for enemies?

Can someone give me a short brief how DAoC is now if you compare how it was before christmas?

if you stay away from bridges you generally are ok for fg fights,theres the usual zergs running round so nothing much has changed there.
clustering is inc so you will be able to fight grps off pry
FG scene seems to be picking up and rvr is generally focused in emain (some things never change) or hw.
Not really many, if any quality alb grps to fight nowdays so we see if Clustering brings back the likes of PE etc..

Nah Battlegrounds sucked in WoW imo... at least the first impression of it. Gonna try it out some more this weekend and I'll see what happens..

The sweet thing about NF is that YOU decide what kind of RvR you want. If you don’t want epic battles you just say away from the /map cup/tree(or whatever the symbol for a hib zerg is). Now you can spot the zerg on the /map and therefore avoid it. On the other hand you can find FGs/solo ppl between the epic fights and the place the enemies come from(ie. the keep they can port to).
Another thing is that there are a LOT more tactics involved in RvR now. By that I mean that there are other consequences that getting DF. Some towers/keeps are more important than others, so now ppl defend etc. We no longer sit in a keep 1-2 hours waiting for someone to come and take the keep back you just took.
And tbh I like siege warfare. It brings something new to the table. You can no longer sit in a keep with 10 ppl with a bow waiting for the enemy to charge and it’s no longer a mindless zerg pounding on a door for 10 mins.
So to me NF gives me a choice of what kind of RvR I want. NF = fun fun fun.

I had problems in the past with dual logging too. It was lagging and LD all the time, so nothing I would ever do when I was RvRing.
Now I can dual log without any problems. I literally never LD and I only lag a little when there are MAGOR battles, but not anywhere near the lag I had in the past. I’m playing on the same PC as I did 2 years ago. No now hardware have been added and It haven’t been reinstalled.

I actually played NF for 2 months or so .. so I know how it's like.. that was one of the reasons I took a break and started WoW beta but since WoW's PvP is so ***** terrible I'm thinking of taking a break from WoW

Lets just say that NF changed alot since the initial months, and if the enemy owns a keep in yer own country that just means more albies to farm

And kathal.. the mindless zerg still exists, only now it hides behind smart leaders (or dumb ones, but thoose usually dont last that long)
