42 Shield or Brutalise...?

My main is specced the classic 50/42/39...but I'm feeling the urge to lvl my other Warrior as well ATM, and wondering whether it's worth dropping some points in Parry to get the full 50 in Shield.

Anyone here done that? How do you find Brutalise, is it worth the extra points, and do you find you parry noticeably less?

I'm speccing this Warrior as all-out dmg dealer - getting Aug Str and using Hammer for maximum plate-armour-smashability . SO having the nastiest Shield style out there seemed a fun addition...

Well I'm the classic 50 (Sh),50 (Sw),28 (Pa).

Brutalize was ace when shamans didn't have end regen, now they do I just use slam, and even though I have 28 parry.... I still parry more than I block.

If you want uber damage then you should go 2h with parry.

I'm 50/50/28.. and no you don't use brutalize that much in RvR.. but I think 50 shield is better then 39 parry.

And why you parry "more" then blocking.. is because parry is calculated before block.

But I wouldn't respec back to 50/42/39 anyway... I was that before we got full respec long time ago

nothin beats a good brutilize when theres no shammy about
and seeing how lasy some shammys r... nothing beats a good brutilize when shammys ARE about! lol

50 weapon 50 shield 28 parry.

a) make 2 hotbars one for solo/pve one for rvr groups.
b) configure with Slam the rvr group hotbar.
c) configure with Brutalize the solo/pve.
d) have fun.

50 shield definately Brutalise is nice and the extra shield spec helps with gaurding the healers, mages etc

having 50 + 11 + rr shield improves weaponskill on shield attacks, less chance to get your slam blocked/parried/evaded.

autotrain weapon till lvl 44 and u can put 4 extra points in parry autotraining till lvl 48 doesn't give anything worthfull only 1 problem: u hit like shit till lvl 44

Albchain is resistant to crush = harder to kill clerics, mistrels =bad..... also druids/wardens are resistant to crush :/
Doing nice dmg on plate isnt needed since thay are last targets anyways....only thing that i like is the dmg on bards and infils

As for the 42 vs 50 shield discussion, I am the 50/50/28 specced warrior, and I did that without even considering the styles involved. I just wanted shield as high as possible, as I have the feeling that I am in the nice rvr guild groups that I am cuz of my CC skills with the shield, and little else
