True, and that is unfortunately inevitable. Doesn't mean you shouldn't have an argument first though :)

Obviously, we are conducting an experiment on the only atmosphere we have, which is pretty reckless by anyone's standards, but the simple fact is regardless of this apparent overwhelming scientific evidence, no one has or ever will do anything about it, the governments are totally ignoring it.
So not only do most people believe it's bolaks, 100 % of governments do as well, they talk the talk to keep their green credentials, but nothing is ever followed through, not because of pressure from fossil fuelers, but from the simple fact it's far more hurtful on the short term and the science could and quite probably will change tomorrow.

Sharing a common consensus does not make someone a sheep :)... Challenging it without a valid argument, however, does make someone a bit of a tool :)

That is better - the problem is we dont have access to the base temperature data from which to build a valid discussion - the stuff from Nasa and all the other data sets that are freely available have been adjusted.

There have been attempts to get the base data sets under freedom of information act requests but these have all been heavily contested and ultimately failed to get the data.

This is extremely unusual in science - generally people share datasets - to not do so means that you have effectively stifled scientific examination of the assumptions you made when you adjusted the base data.

I cannot tell you if they are right or wrong but I can tell you it stinks.
