3rd person

There was a code I want to get you to see 3rd person in TFC. Ive searched everywhere but cant seem to find it.

It goes something like.

cam_command 1
cam_idealyaw 0

I found it on WP forums but as you know there have gone down now.

It is considered a cheat in UK Leagues and also BW Servers. Use it at your own risk. :-/

No I dont know anyone that really uses it. Its totly impossible to play with properly. I tried but u find yourself facing the floor all the time.

Someone must know what the command is. I wanted to test a few concmaps with it on.

Its considered a cheat for the simple reason u can see around corners using it. Its bad mmmkay. Dont dabble with the dark side.

I suspect Valve originally intended you to be able to switch into it in singleplayer mode (and multiplayer i suppose) but they never got round to finishing the code properly. It's been modified well for CS and other mods now (chase-cam and so on).

Why do you need thirdperson for concmaps? I just use medic coz I hate being dizzy for so long as a scout.

you're half right:
in single player it works by typing:
chase_active

and online, it doesn't work in such a friendly way, so i'd imagine it isn't entirely intended for online play.

the command is indeed "cam_command 1", but you then have to reconnect to the server, a simple retry will do, and it will work.

you proberbly want it for CS, since i dont play CS i dont know if it works there, but it works with AHL, svencoop and TFC, i know that.

i've never really used it, for TFC it was stuck looking at my guy side on, so i couldn't aim, and i dont know the commands to rotate the cam, so i switched back.
in AHL i found it works, but there's no reason to use it other than for cheating (looking around corners).

i hear there's alot of corner looking going on in the opera, where 3rd person is inbuilt into mp with a differant command, i'm sure the developers never intended it to be used like that.

3rd person is clased as a cheat in TFC, if your found using it you could find thats the last time you play TFC on a barry's world server .

F-UK, I tried to get them more organised but they just wan't to do what they call as having fun by kicking or banning every visitor to thier irc channel and this was not my idea of fun so I gave up trying :/

Did you change any of your subscription details ? e.g. your email address,

It requests confirmation of the change before it will let you log in again.

Send a nice mail to the suppot at barysworld - they might help you out.
