so has anyone got one yet?

bought one on an impulse buy and ive gotta say its mind blowingly good only got one game so far pilotwings resort but its pretty immersive

the other features are fantastic too the AR cards you get are quite amusing

was a system update day after release and i got a 3d video installed on my 3DS the quality is superb for a handheld not quite as good as a psp but the fact its in 3D really blows you away

few - points tho

the viewing angle is not great if you move your head chances are good your gonna get a double image which really messes up your game this isnt generally problem if your not tryin to watch telly at same time :)

the stylus is quite small if you got big hands your gonna struggle with it

photos inside are pretty crap if you got poor lighting see little reason why a flash couldnt have been installed

overall tho im really happy with it 3D photos are quite good in the right light and its only a matter of time before 3D photo frames appear on the market

hopin to get some more games in the near future to really put the 3D effect through its paces the good thing is when your get cross eyed you can just turn the 3d effect off and play it in good ole 2D its reccomended you dont play for more than 30 mins in 3d mode. with a 15 min break

I've not got one but I did go to the UK launch party. Overall I thought it was a much improved and tweaked DS but I didn't like the 3D much. I think it'll sell but after a while people will be pushing that slider down to "no more, my eyes are bleeding"

It's also recommended you have a 15 minute break between every hour of playing games/watching tv etc, but as if anyone at all on the entire forum does that :p

I agree with Mythic G, it is pretty much a DS that has feature that the DSi should have had in the first place. The 3d is ok and yeah a bit of a novelty, but the way it comprimises the battery life is just terrible - maybe 3½ hour-ish battery life on 3d games with the backlight switched up full.

I'd get one but the launch line up is a pile of shit not one game there that screams system seller.

its suprising ninty havent got a proper mario game out for it for the release of 3ds. if there were then that might have made me get one,

i know one lad who was fanatical about pilot wings on the snes, got the 3ds with that game and says he cant play it. after a while he feels his left eye ache alot.

Exactly what I had tbh. It's an adjustment that my brain simply did not want to make.

utter tosh super mario 64 was an amazing game quite possibly one of the best of the bunch im actually hoping for a re release on the 3ds like they are doing with ocarina of time.

ive found that playin the 3ds in anyother position than sat upright is asking for trouble for some reason if i lay down on sofa and try to play i get the achy eye syndrome however if i sit up in my computer chair for instance im fine for a good half hour on it

ye its a problem ive always seen the ds as something to go on when i cant be assed to play on pc and theres fuck all on telly and therefore i do wanna lay down stretched out on sofa etc

simple thing i did there tho was turn the 3d feature off i agree its something of a gimmick the 3d and you may argue may as well get an xl or summat but i like the fact i can watch 3d movies and take 3 photos on it as well :) until ive got more 3D games to play tho i cant really say just how effective or how crap the 3d is

Pfft, real mario games are sidescrollers with no 3d crap. Mario 64 is everything but what it should be.

I'm not a massive Mario fan but Galaxy was the best game I played on the Wii.

The newer ones (N64 onwards) are much better than the tedious side scrollers. Refused to play the one on the Wii at my sisters for ages, once I had a quick go "to get her past a bit" the controller had to be wrestled from me, it's a lot of fun.
