360 and NXE

Just had a quick look over lunch, everything seems alot sleeker and faster than the 'blade' interface, I did like the blades though. Communication between my PC and 360 is so much faster now, which I like, I used to have to wait a few minutes too pick up my music tracks and videos on my pc and stream them across.

Not sure about the whole avatar thing, doesn't really bother me too much.

Some things are easier to access, hopefully all the netflix streaming stuff will be fully working soon, seems like a decent idea.

Netflix is US only I believe. Someone may correct me though.

I like how the xbox guide button menu comes up quicker. I think it is longer to navigate to your demos menu though? I prefered the layout of the blades for that navigation.

And why is the demo menu a text list and not a slideshow of images like most of the other sections...

its bugged, crashes if you are browsing friends, look at their details and go back, it hangs the console.

i like the frinds list better the old way you could see whos online and playing what in seconds this you gotta scroll fior a bit.

I was almost sick when all the avatars were waving trying to get me to pick one. Otherwise, its a bit meh. Installing to HD means I don't have to turn the TV up to 11 though.

If you press the guide button and go to friends there its still the old list way

Finally got round to trying this. It's a little irritating that playing from the HDD still requires the disc in the drive, feels like it almost defeats the point :\.

Anti-piracy measure, but at least it's not constantly spinning up now.

Yeah I figured, I'd just hoped they'd found a way to not make piracy too easy while still not requiring the disc. Still, better than nowt.
