3000 Dead/Injured in Train Crash

This is quite a terrible tragedy.

The two trains carrying fuel collided and exploded in Ryongchon, close to the Chinese border

I cant believe that they managed to keep this story so quiet!
They called for a state of emergency and cut down all communications.

It is indeed a terrible tragedy . One of the worst things about it is the North Korean Governments lack of comment about it. Aid agencies are ready and willing to go and help, but cannot do anything till they are allowed. They are probably scared that the aid workers would all be CIA agents sent specifically to undermine the government. It truly is a sad state of affairs.

Red Cross is there at the scene... BBC had 30 mins ago a representative from Red Cross in China on the phone.

North Korea told the Red Cross people who arrived at the scene :-

Was 2 wagons carrying Explosives that exploded

Total 56 Dead - 1200+ injured

1800 Homes destroyed - 5000+ Homes severly Damaged ...

12 Public Buildings Destroyed

Cant believe the death toll has to be a lot higher than that if 1800 homes have been flattened :/

Even after all the help that is being offered, and looks like they are now requesting and accepting, they still refuse to give any details on whats actually happening there.

I still find it amazing how well they keep their entire society hidden from the rest of the world...and of course hiding the rest of the world from their own people.

I dont understand why posts get deleted. Wouldnt it be better to just edit and lock the offenders post. That way you know whats going on. Having posts deleted is very confusing.
