Good subject for a film, just a pity they've ignored the 700 Thespians who agreed to stand with the Spartans (which to me was always more impressive, everyone knows the Spartans were mad bastards, the Thespians were just conscripts levied from a local city state).

The Spartans were so impressed with the Thespians gesture they exchanged cloaks with them and promised to be their brethren and allies for all eternity.
