2H Savage spec...?

Just out of curiosity, what would be best spec for 2H Savage? Race, starting stats etc.?

Would probably be sword-user...I have H2H-specced Savage and it's a lot of fun, but I've seen a lot of people talking about 2H-specced Savages and am curious. Only having 1.5 x lvl points sucks ass though.

:| i was on my NS, Mids had DF. and i saw a Yellow Con Dude Norse With a buffbot and all in Black with a large sword, so i thought it was a SB. Killed His Buffbot, then switched weaps went to attack the so called SB :| and he Buffed his self etc then ate me in 3 hits

my spec

I got a 2H Sword savage, took sword to 50 for Ragnarok and stayed at 39 in savagery for second best DPS add. Rest of points in parry that will be 18 parry then u wont have a single point left so nothing will be wasted! :D

imo you should go atleast 41 savagery. the last endurance heal will help alot next patch when endregen goes conc based.

Ok so that's 50 Sword, 39 or 41 (depending on whose template I follow) in Savagery, and anything left over in Parry...you sure 1.5 pts per lvl gives enough for that? Otherwise cool, thanks, I'll try that template. And I reckon I'll go Troll for sheer dmg ( +10 to Str/Dex/Con )...unless anything's better for 2H Savage.

50 sword 42 savagery 9 parry imo

You get last end heal + next thrust resistance buff and rag4tehwin~~ and with the parry bug being fixed you will still have adequate parry with your parry buff

here´s a couple of specs I´ve heard about, dunno which 1 is best tho:

44 axe
34 h2h
35 savagery
rest parry

using cleavers for maximum dmg output, and aid melee spd shout to compensate for their slow spd, while h2h allows u to hit several times

50 h2h
43 savagery
rest parry

maximum multiple hit possibility

44 hammer
49 savagery
rest parry

2H hammer with the aid of spd and the best dmg add shout to make for fast heavy swings

50 sword/axe
41 savagery
rest parry

kinda the same as above, only 2´nd best dmg add shout, but higher weapon spec instead.

what I dont know, is which spec deals the msot dmg, especially @ RR5 or so, with h2h users having the possibility to get duellists reflexes to do more hits, and mastery of pain to do a lot more crits (as they hit several times).
a 2H weapon swung as fast as savages can do it, is kinda frightening as well in dmg output, but does it stay above any of the h2h specs in the long run, or is it only better for dmg at first?

race wise I personally wouldnt consider nything but a troll, big, ugly, smelly, cute as hell :)

44 hammer 49 savagery rest parry in 1.62 to rr5-6 then respec to 50 hth rest savagery ... that's how i would do it ... :/

For 2h, troll ofc.

10str (full return in ws)/con (teh hp)/quick (50% return in evade, more dps)

Either 50 sword or 44 hammer.

50h2h, 42sav, 9 parry

or

50sword, 42sav, 9 parry

Most of the time I run after mages or healing classes and I think a good backstyle is very important (with stun or snare that is)

h2h is luck, i duelled quite a few h2h and i won some with 80% hp left and i lost some and they had 80% hp left (same player i dueled even).. and then ofc LOTS of fights when one had 0.5-1% hp left ;)

When going 2h, get a troll.

Im using hammer atm but respeccing to sword, Ragnarok is a great dmg dealer and 70% of my fights are behind some healer/mage whos running from me :)

Hammer is great against albs (but then again that AF spec buff fucks it all up) and chain users.. but sword will do better against mages and its those you really wanna get down first.. not the paladin/armsman using a 1h sword hitting at 70-100dmg.. :]

but what do i know.. :]

Hmm...50% return in Evade...? I'm not doubting you, but where do you get the figures to back that up?

Does sound like nice spec though.

Have to admit I'm still not 100% sold on why 2H Savage with studded (i.e. slightly crappy dmg absorb) and bugger all in Parry is preferable to 2H Warrior with chain (better absorb ofc) and more in Parry (givf Savages 2x pts. per lvl!)...anyone? I see so many speccing this way that there must be something in it, and I'm curious as to what the big selling point of this spec is.

Not really .. casters use cloth, and cloth is neutral (no penalty nor bonus) to all types of dmg so hammer(crush) and sword (slash) will do same dmg (not counting style) and counting style conquer/sledgehammer do more dmg over time than ragnarok but less dmg in first hit ...

and in 1.62 style snare wont be broken by other ppl hitting, and since ragnarok don't snare and conquer/sledge do and savage can't get PF, imo hammer > sword by a tad ... :/

OK started sword one last night, I think at lvl 5 it's out-damaging my Zerk when he was 5...
Also useful tip - Savs can't use shields so if you want to farm greens, keep a Sav H2H weap in the off hand - you wont have as much skill with it as a H2H-specced Sav, ofc, but it can still add useful dmg to a Sav-held 1H weap (I guess you could use Zerk LH axes if you specced in Axe) :).

Savages go after supportclasses, what do they do ?
They try to run away.
Is snarestyle good ? yes

44hammer/49sav is the spec :p

Swords looks better tho :(

Savages need PF imo.
Style snare breaks with assist (when target takes damage).
Enough said.
