my first full day off work in 2 weeks and i'am not able to play.

this sucks Goa get your act togeather Guys.

I pay for 24/7 & not getting it.

& don't say you will get a credit for loss of service did'nt get one for the last BIG Crash..

They are patching to 1.68, maybe you should have planned your day off a bit better .

It's patch day.. but yea, I think that GoA should:
A) Announce the patch day earlier (or give an estimation; some day between 29-April-2004 and 2-May-2004 the servers will be down all day for patchin')
B) Do it over night. Start at 00:00..

1.68 is coming !

As promised yesterday, version 1.68 will be patched live on the servers tomorrow, Thursday 29th April - providing Legion doesn't have a fit and no great cataclysms occur in the meantime.

The servers will therefore be stopped at 09 :00 CET tomorrow morning (that's 08 :00 BST) and should be back up by the end of the afternoon. We will keep you informed of the patching progress during the day.

In the meantime and while you're waiting, we invite you to take a look at the patch notes if you haven't already done so. They are available for viewing here. Remember this patch brings some important changes to the game, most notably the bonus changes for many ToA items, new quivers for archer classes and new trophies for the epic monsters of Atlantis.

It can be a problem to announce an exact date 2-3 weeks in advance, since you never know what kind of bugs/errors they will find. And people would whine even more if they couldn't patch that day.

Without meaning to sound totally devoid of sympathy towards your position its not exactly ground breaking news that it takes GOA the better part of the working day to patch the servers. Though admittedly most of the "I took a day off to play the patch before everyone else why the hell isn't it up yet - 6:30am" posts were all on BW so there isn't much chance you could have used the search function to find anything.

Like I said though, its not that i'm not sympathtic. I understand what a pain in the ass it is to take time off work only to find you can't do what you wanted to take time off to do.

Can't blame GOA for this really, people whine that they are a few patches behind, when GOA plans to patch the servers to a newer version, people whinethat they can't play for a few hours :/

If you had read the friday news every week, you would have known that the servers would get patched to 1.68 at the end of april. 2 Days ago they also announced that thursday was patchday, so you could have known this 2 days in advance if you had read up the official website.
