christ lol xD never mind that bugger when will they sort fibre out for the rest of the uk :p only select parts have it atm (i'm due to get it in june but its still only 36mb down 7mb up)

Doing such things in a lab has been done for ages in many sectors, getting it to the end user is where things become difficult.

Its not a home use technology, at least not for a long time, as there's simply no content out there to justify it.

Exactly. No one has the processors or storage memory to justify a 26Tb connection, never mind applications that would use it. Lots of industrial applications though.

Which is part of my point, that as well as the costs etc make it difficult and this applies to all technology in labs.
