Anyone else find it utterly ridiculous that 10 minutes into episode 1 Palmer is shot in the neck dead. It took 24 episodes for a bunch of idiots to try and fail to do that in the first series. It just goes to show what bollocks it all it
Ah, but he was a presidential candidate then with lots of security. Now he's just an ex-president. In the most literal sense ;)

Michelle, should not have been killed. They should have kiled Chloe the whinning little shit.

Just watched episodes 3 and 4, good stuff!

Sean Astin's character should be interesting, manipulates the staff somewhat to make them feel at ease, but seconds later pisses them off!

Looks like it's going to be big weapons again. Given how relatively soon they've uncovered some of the moles. I expect it to be either like season 4, with one main theme or such a massive twist.

I really don't like Samwise being in it. In my opinon his greatest acting feat was in The Goonies. Everything else is shit, as is this. He just doesn't fit in with everything else. Keep expecting him to get on his knees and say "Oh Mr. Jack sir. We must go on!" :D

Ahhhh - I knew I recognised the face, it just didnt click at all. The hobbits seem to be spreading into mainstream TV. Who next? Frodo in Desperate Housewives?

Nah, he's probably aready signed up for "The Further Adventures of Frodo - A LOTR TV Series, brought to you by Fox". To be written by JRR from beyond the grave and featuring Frodo's encounters with Elven hookers. :)

This'll be like season 4, lots of new threats thrown in for the lack of a plot.

Hostage situation > kid kidnapped > deadly virus > mum kidnapped > nuclear bomb > kid+mom kidnapped > Weather control device: Tsunami threat! > kid kidnapped > Satellite death beam > mom kidnapped...

Cracking start to the new season. Can't wait for the next installment.

I still cant help thinking the corpse of Sheree Palmer will turn up though. Possibly with a gun held to her head by the corpse of uber babe Nina.

24 has more moles than a small mole colony situated on the dark side of moletacus (small planet orbiting the star MIZAR known to consist of a large number of small soil-based mounds)

Thank the god of 24 that this didn't drag past episode 5. Quite a cracking episode in the end

good point! Maybe they got a leak when they moved them, but that means we are going to see some dead terrorists before Jack gets to them.

They were using my monitor in the CTU field truck!

Speculation:
Someone talked of Moscow 'suffering' for its crimes.
The terros might take a boat to south america, hop on a jet and fly to Moscow.

Jack will chase after them and probably have the US and Russian secret services after him, when he saves the day in Moscow oO

Episode 6

Holy shit. That was the grandmother of the daddy of all mothers of the best fucking episodes ever. I'm shaking, honestly my hairs are standing on end.

I really, really thought that Cummings was going to lose his eye. That knife was on its way, I was fucking gutted when he stopped. I've not seen an episode of anything thats ramped up the suspense as that episode did. You can see the Pres actually physically pooing his pants at what might happen, and I've got a suspicion that something really really nasty will happen in this season. Pissed off terrorists double crossed by government = chaos

Cool episode, planting weapons of mass destruction so they could carry on the war is a nice touch, something I think many thought would happen in real life :)

lol when Mister X said : You have only one option. I thought about Suicide/Run away/Kill president. Didn't expect such a pathetic attempt to save his own ass :). It was hard for me to figure out if Cummings was actually helping them at the end or not.

Gah! I can't believe he's going to attack the states now. Does anyone see this ending like all the previous seasons?

Yes :( I would have preferred it to end in Moscow.

It was the best of the season, can they keep the pace for the next 18?

Hah. The whole real-time thing isnt exactly rigidly enforced, but having to travel from the US to another country - whether by air or sea - is never going to happen. A bunch of episodes looking at the main characters sat on planes? Naaaaaaaaa

It might have worked if the Ts had a military jet to fly the gas to Moscow in E06.

Jack does his usual stuff for the next few hours, find out the nerve gas is about to land in Moscow, so he 'borrows' a prototype or something and Mac-5s it to Russia.

The rest of the cast could keep us entertained for the 3 hours his flight takes.

P.S. I don't have a clue how long the flights would take, just suggesting it would've been a cool end to the day ;)

Maybe the president is in on the double cross and when Jack isn't looking he pulls a Mac-10 from his desk draw and kills everyone, including Jack. Then Kim comes back and avengers her Dad's death and shags Tony, etc. etc.

It could happen ;)

Just finished watching ep5.03 and wow such excitement!
So annoying though, another mole, that story line is getting a bit old now really. Pres Logan is nicely psychotic though, absolutely fantastic that bit! He seems to be more insane than his wife!

Unfortunately can't find episode 4 on my torrent site :( someone help!

Very good point. It might have been a good idea to engage my brain before posting :)
