2006 Germany World Cup

Well lets start a thread to discuss the perfomance of the teams in this big event.

My first suprise is the performance of Spain (very strong) even tho they didnt bring Morientes.
Argentina amazed me with their Tango performance, and of course Portugal (specially against Iran).

On the other hand there is Brazil, even tho they are in 1/8 finals they havent bring their perfume or samba, in resume a very broken team living from individual performances from their stars.

France OMG the worst team in world cup i can see. Zidane's attitude is the oposite of Figo's.

The french is ending in the small door but Figo is ending his carrear in Style.

Holland is on the right track, the argentinan should take care.

Germany is doing ok even tho their defence is not perfect.

Special note for england: who would guess that erikson is doing a good job.

too be honest, i find portugal pretty crap atm.
They are all good, but the problem is, the players think that aswel that they are VERY VERY good

seen some aweful refereeing though.... 3 yellow cards to the croatian dude, goal being allowed for the swiss even though flag was up....

all I know is that Germany will probably win it, though not through good football, but because all the hard matches they get i'm sure german fans will go set off fire alarms and honk horns in the streets outside the other team's hotels the night before, so whoever play them will be screwed

The game doesn't stop until the ref blows his whistle, & he overruled the linesman, probably correctly seeing as how the ball came from a Korean, which the linesman possibly hadn't seen. The ref discussed it with the linesman afterwards & they still decided the goal was correct ...

Don't think you can call that bad refereeing TBH.
