First of all.. Toht you weren't there! He didn't just "ask" for a fag.. He probably had a whole pack in his pocket! He was just out to pick a fight that he could win! And his friend was agressive aswell, just not as much as the guy that jumped me first! He held back a little, but if the two guys who helped me out hadn't I'm sure he would have jumped me aswell, which he was also about to, hence why he got pushed first

I don't feel any remorse what so ever! They wanted to fight in uneven numbers.. I got backup out of no where! They got their fight and I got two new friends

About the money.. I took his wallet to get my 7£ back and saw the 30£ there. I asked if they wanted anything, they didn't, so I asked if I could atleast by em a beer on the geezers tap, so we went for a beer for his money! He would probably have robbed me aswell if he had the chance!

No remorse what so ever! I could have taken a proper beating if I hadn't been as lucky as I were!

Thats a lot of assuming there.

What if you had said "Sorry, i don't smoke.", or be atleast a bit polite?

If he WAS out to pick a fight, you did serve him just that. Gave a perfect excuse to act as you were the one to "start" something.

Saying "i wasn't there", is a rather moot point as i've been in situations like that, and walked away because i had the sense not to start sh*t when it's clear that i would be in dire straits.

There's no excuse for jumping you, but your behavior was, to say the least, similar.

lol, yeah I was one who started it.. I told him, in a rather polite way imo, that if he really needs a smoke he should go buy some

Well nothing i say will change your mind, ofcourse, but like i said, if you had told us the story from his point of view, you being the one to knock "sense" into someone being unnecessarily rude, people would back you up.

What you said is rather rude you know, not at all polite.

"Knocking sense" into someone even when he's being only slightly witty is still not done, Tohtori. Violence is to be used as a self-defence, and this is what Cor did.

Altho taking the 30 pounds was a bit bizarre :D

I still think you're a knob for stealing his cash, he asked for a cig you could of just said "don't have any" and carried on walking, the more you post the more it makes you sound like you were the person looking for a fight.

Next time you might not get so lucky.

Was smoking while I went past them.. They seemed agressive right from the start, so I tried to just walk past them

And as I said.. I've never been in a fight before and I am always the first to leg it, but that is kinda hard when you get jumped from the back, now isn't it?

Yes, it's not done, but sometimes witty remarks like that SHOULD validate a slap. Probably would've ended with the push, had he walked away. Anyhoo.

Since it's now obvious that CorNokZ were smoking while saying that, makes him sound even more...well...rude.

But i think what bothers me most, is that you seem to say you're a guy who avoid fights, but this incident...you seem to sound proud of all things :eek7:

Not proud in any way.. Would rather have walked home, eaten my burgers and never met those two! I just can't see how this is somehow my fault? Yes, I admit, that taking his money was a bit too much, but I was drunken and was in the heat of the moment, so meh..

Bad tactic to be rude to 2 people, and have your back to one of em.

I'd gone up and punched the fucker that dropped you, even tho they were two.

Good thing you got helped tho, but mugging him will only make it worse for you the next time you meet.

Edit: Realised im just repeating what has been said meh, but it's just my two cents, and you cant have any more! :<

This is the classic way that people seem to read forums, or behave on the net, in general that's a bit faulty. Like when i told Jarahl to "grow a pair". After that he stopped listening to all that was said and took it as an all out attack.

It's not a case of black and white, it doesn't have to be an "attack" on the person, simply 'cause they arn't with you a 100%.

Ofcourse the attack wasn't your fault, bad people, naughty naughty, but at the same time, things might have been different if...

That all i'm saying really, good to see you're not proud of it, the initial post just suggested it with "great night" etc.

I would have done the same as CorN tbh. It's not like you think clearly in such situations. Atleast they jumped a guy without muscles. It could have ended much worse :D

Yes! I could have taken a proper beating! I can't fight and I'm a weak internet geek :(

It was a great Toht, but with that one little flaw! Haven't been out getting really hammered for quite a while due to my surgery not too long ago, so it was nice to get back out there and have some with my best friends :)

pfft!!!

Cut ConrZ some slack!

It was his first fight, wich undoutebly was a big "event" in his life,

and unlike toht. I hold the direct oposite opinion, I hate! when people try to impose thier bloody social codec onto others, and especially these "big moronic brian dead stereotypes" telling other people how to behave or what defines being rude, infact you can be as polite as you want and they'll still find something that they deside to persive as rude, "wording, tone, a look...you name it" "you know the type"

I really really hate that, "you should be smacked for that attitude, attitude"
altho I've never personally been in any fight since i was about 10.

that exact reason has been the top reason to people starting fights that I've seen.
and here how it typically goes:

1. Idiot: desides for whatever reason "looks, girls ect" he dosent like another guy, idiot seeks confrontation with guy, at this point guy cant win, what ever he says or does WILL be procived as Rude, cheecky or arogant! and idiot will use that as an excuse for a fight,!

wich to what I've heard is Exactly what happend in cornZ case! no matter what he said! or how he said it, it in NO way warrents what happend next!
So cornZ was rude? fine then the chap should have told him off or ignored him, or called him a selfish git or what ever. hitting someone is only ever! imo warrented as selfdefence,

now that CornZ also made a few mistakes is imo unquestionable,
1. your alone on a weekend night in town, "you do not, for any reason risk pissing off other people who could be drunk, on drugs ect and maybe looking for a fight "
2. by "stealing" his cash you really lost all moral high ground, and tbh, heh maybe should have held that info to your self. it's nothing to be proud off, but as I've said, in that situation, one tends tonot exatcly think as clearly as you would on a given weekday, ;)

But I will agree with toht on one count,
Imo you really were abit of a brat for that remark, what was wrong with a simple No

Bloody conformist :D

Basically that last part, is what i said. I never implied (or meant to imply?)that people SHOULD act any way, just that, with such a response to such a question, i wasn't suprised it became what it did.

Kinda like fueling the fire.

"Sorry." walk on.

Much better then "Hmm, two guys, dark alley, bit drunk...Oi! F*ck off!" :D

P.S -> taekwondo/kickboxing varient is a very nice self-defence if anyone is interested. Just took it up myself and it's great fun :)

for self defense or competetion?

iv been looking into muay tai recently, seems a more useful form of martial arts, but im not sure if i could get to a competitive amateur level quick enough for it to be worthwhile

back on topic- sounds like a chav that took a disliking to you, a friend of mine had one of his front teeth knocked out by a chav when he refused him a cig and then gave his gf one 2mins later :<

from the off you should have been a bit more polite and just said "not got any m8"

if you were smoking, and as a smoker i feel your pain (fucking chavs zone in on ya when they see ya spark up) but its a tossup, on the one hand you can give him a cig, he'l love you and your away, you can give him a cig, and then he tries to mug you (the manc chav way), or you can basically say "sod off" and risk getting lamped

spose with alcohol in you, number 3 isnt too bad an option, maybe its a bit low taking his money but to be fair, he made the first real move, saying "nah these are my cigs get your own" isnt something that SHOULD spark a major reaction/ fight, if you were walking down the street with a bag of haribo would you expect people to come up asking for them? why should smokers be so "nice"?

basic rule of thumb- dont spark up with chavs around!

ah ok, :D
just maybe seemed like you condoned the violent behavior based on his responce, "that it was ok to smack him up abit for being cheeky/rude"
guess i misunderstood abit :S

I really dont get this bit tho CornZ

as toht says, your responce really just flamed a fire that was simplisticly easy to spot from far far away!

Well i DO condone some slapping of cheeky buggers, not full out violence.

But there are some people who just need to be slapped into place :D

Kinda like, well, slap in the back of the head sorta way.

Still think you should always bring a gun to a sword fight.
I am all for a fair fight, I enjoy it tbh. But fuck it, not like they got killed or handicapped. Just a good old smacking for doing something stupid.

I would of robbed 'em aswell.
